Chapter 703 It’s All Her Fault
“No! You can’t do this to me! I’m the one who brought Emely’s child into the world! If you treat me like this, Emely will make you pay!” Miya screamed hysterically.
She tried to crawl off the bed to grab Helen, but her lower body was completely numb. She couldn’t move an inch.
All she could do was scream helplessly, hoping Helen would change her mind.
But when Helen wouldn’t budge, Miya started cursing at the top of her lungs. “Bitch! It’ s all Thalia’s fault! She should’ve died ages ago! Why is she still alive?
‘If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t have been kicked out! If it weren’t for her, Darion would’ ve kept treating me better! If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t be like this!”
‘It’s all because of her! The more you care about her, the more I hate her! If you want to blame someone, blame her! I poisoned Keith out of hatred for her! I threatened Darion because of her! It’s all because of her! It’s all her fault…”
Helen couldn’t be bothered to listen to Miya’s crazy ramblings anymore.
Once she stepped out of the bungalow, the stench of blood and rot was carried away by the breeze. She tilted her head back, took a deep breath, and said, “Don’t let her die, out make sure she never has a moment’s peace.”
Dax nodded. “Don’t worry. After all the evil she’s done, a living hell is the best ending
for her.”
The car started up, and Helen left.
Dax had someone take Miya straight back to Oakwood and lock her up in a private mental hospital.
At the hospital.
The initial stiffness quickly melted away.
Thalia lowered her gaze and typed. The cold electronic voice rang out, “We’re about to head back. Didn’t you say you had a way to get Diana out of here?”
Darion replied, “I’m already making arrangements. If nothing goes wrong, Diana will be leaving tomorrow.”
Thalia typed, “Where is she going?”
Darion replied, “Diana said she wanted to go home for a visit. I’ll have someone take
her back. She might stay there for a while, which gives us a bit more time to get better.”
Thalia let out a small sigh of relief.
Chapter 703 It’s All Her Fault
As long as everything was taken care of, that was all that mattered.
That evening, Helen came back with Darion’s favorite food. The air in the hospital room felt a little heavy.
She spoke as if nothing was wrong. “Darion, try this chicken soup. It’s really good for you.”
Darion took it. “Thanks.”
Helen smiled. “No need to be so polite with your mom. By the way, where’s Thalia?”
Darion replied, “She said she found a nice little spot to eat and wanted to try it before it closes.”
Helen nodded with a smile. “Thalia’s playful and always laughing, a real free spirit. Her parents really raised her well.”
Darion didn’t say anything.
Helen pressed on. “Now that you’ve spent some time with her, what do you think of
Thalia?”
“Mom,” Darion said, his voice dropping a notch.
His tone grew heavier. “What exactly are you getting at?”
