Chapter 705 The Perfect Embrace
Darion completely ignored her.
His large hand wrapped around Thalia’s small one, interlacing his long fingers with hers in a firm grip, then curling them to completely envelop her hand.
Thalia was at a loss for words.
Sometimes, Darion liked to play these little games, and right now, she couldn’t move or struggle. What if she messed up the acupoints?
If that happened, she’d be the one to suffer.
Thalia simply closed her eyes, ignoring his little tricks.
To Darion, that was basically her saying yes.
He grew bolder, his fingers occasionally caressing the back of her hand, enjoying the cool softness of her palm. His heart felt like it was overflowing.
Natasha stood off to the side, watching for a bit, and suddenly caught on to what was happening. Her face fell.
This time, she pressed harder, and Darion actually winced from the pain.
But Darion didn’t even bat an eye, not a single frown. He just tightened his grip on Thalia’s hand and kept playing the victim. “Thalia, it hurts.”
Natasha was speechless.
Enough already!
Great, I’m just playing right into his hands, aren’t I?’ Natasha thought.
Unbelievable!’

Two days later, Darion was discharged from the hospital.
Most of Darion’s wounds were nearly healed, but the main issue now was his eyes.
Ryan brought over some clothes and set them by Darion’s side. “Mr. Blackburn, do you need help changing?”
“No, I’m good,” Darion replied coolly.
He went on, “Where’s Thalia?”
Ryan said, “Mrs. Blackburn went to talk to the doctor.”
Darion settled into his seat and said, “When she gets back, have her come help me.”
“Got it,” Ryan replied.

take care of. Mr. Blackburn is changing. Could you go check if he needs any help?” With that, he hurried off.
Thalia pushed open the hospital room door and walked in, only to see Darion bent over, totally lost as he fumbled with his clothes, unable to figure out where the collar or sleeves were.
For some reason, the sight tugged at her heartstrings.
She walked over, took his hand, and used her finger to write in his palm, [Let me help you.]
Darion gently curled his fingers and said, “No, I can do it myself.”
Right after, he turned away and kept fumbling with his clothes.
“If I can’t even handle something this simple, doesn’t that make me useless?” Darion muttered, his voice steady, not a trace of emotion.
But Thalia’s heart ached for him.
She watched as he managed to find the collar and pick up the shirt, but kept struggling to figure out where the sleeves were and how to get his arms through.
She reached over, took the shirt from his hands, then pulled out her phone and typed, ” Are you seriously going to leave the hospital in your patient gown?”
He was still wearing his patient gown.
Darion paused for a moment, then realization dawned on him. “Oh, right, I forgot.”
He started unbuttoning his patient gown, one button at a time. During his hospital stay, his skin had grown noticeably paler, his muscles still sharply defined, but now bearing scars, both old and new.
Thalia’s watery eyes froze for a moment, and before she knew it, her hand instinctively reached out to trace those scars.
His body used to be flawless. When did these scars appear?’ Thalia thought.
In the next second, Darion grabbed her wrist, his voice coming out husky as he spoke. “Thalia, what are you doing?”
Thalia snapped back to reality, realizing what she was thinking. Her eyes dropped in panic, but then it hit her. He couldn’t see her, and she couldn’t even say anything.
She chose to stay silent, pulled her hand back, and kept her distance.
Darion waited for a moment, and when Thalia didn’t react, he just gave a nonchalant smile and said, “It doesn’t hurt.”
