Matthew turned to Darion and started drinking with him. Jason was sitting next to Darion, and right beside Jason was a gorgeous woman.
Out of nowhere, the woman leaned toward Jason, making him quickly scoot away and bump right into Darion.
Darion hadn’t even gotten a sip in before his drink splashed all over his chest.
“Darion, sorry, I didn’t mean to.” Jason blurted out, quickly apologizing before turning to the woman and teasing, “What’s up with you? Are you tipsy already, and you haven’t even started drinking?”
The woman looked at him, her cheeks flushing. “Jason, can we add each other on WhatsApp?”
Darion’s chest was soaked, and he looked pretty miserable.
Someone nearby said, “There’s a hair dryer in the restroom. Go dry yourself off-wearing wet clothes sucks.”
Darion frowned, ‘Yeah, this is awful. He headed for the restroom.
Right as Miya was coming out of the restroom, she noticed Darion’s chest was soaked, so she turned around and went back in with him.
She pulled out a tissue and started wiping his chest. “How did this happen?”
But Darion gently took her hand. “Miya, I got it.”
Miya’s hand hovered awkwardly. She looked up at his striking, distant expression, clutching the tissue tightly. “I’m sorry.”
Darion raised an eyebrow, suspicious. “What are you talking about?”
Miya bit her lip. “About what happened before-I shouldn’t have jumped to conclusions and misunderstood Lia.
‘It was all my fault. I want to make it up to her, but she won’t even see me. Darion, is there any way you could help?”
Darion replied coolly, “If you know that, then stop trying to push yourself into her life.”
But Miya pressed on, “We’re sisters. We can’t just keep ignoring each other forever. You’re caught in the middle, and it’s even tougher for my parents.
‘It’s been years since our family sat down for a meal together. My parents miss Lia.
‘Darion, please help me meet with her. Let me explain, clear up the misunderstanding. I want our family to be whole again.”
Darion listened to her, and his expression softened a bit. The misunderstanding between Thalia and Miya ran deep. Someone had to step in and mediate.
He finally said, “Alright, I’ll set it up.”
Miya’s tears turned into a smile. “Thank you, Darion. Thalia really is happy with you.”
“Is that so?” Darion said, his tone lazy and a bit mocking. “She just doesn’t appreciate what she’s got.”
Miya’s eyes flickered. “It’s because of me. Once I clear up the misunderstanding, you two will make up.”

The night was getting late.
Wendy stayed at Thalia’s place a bit longer, but finally had to leave when her family called.
