Chapter 730 Refunding Your Money
Thalia inched closer to Natasha, looking like she was about to share a secret.
Natasha’s eyes grew wide, staring at Thalia’s lips, her excitement written all over her face.
Then Thalia nodded at her and just turned away like nothing happened.
Natasha was at a loss for speech.
She took a couple of deep breaths to steady herself and said, “You know, I really thought you were about to talk to me just now.
“I was thinking, “Wow, am I really that amazing? I’ve barely started treating you and your voice is already back.’ I even started imagining myself as the kind of doctor everyone’s fighting to get an appointment with, famous for my magic hands.”
Thalia laughed, her eyes shining as she pulled out her phone and typed, “You’ll totally make it. And when you do, make sure you let me skip the line if I ever need your help.”
Natasha snorted. “Whatever, I’m not playing along. You just love teasing me.”
Then she glanced back toward the door.
Darion was still chatting with Keith, a heavy sadness lingering around him. With his eyes wrapped in white bandages, his emotions were harder to read.
Natasha clicked her tongue. “He’s just a good-looking scumbag, nothing more.”
Thalia was left speechless.
That night, Darion started running a fever.
When Thalia touched him, she was startled awake. He was burning up.
She immediately turned on the light and shook him, but he was completely unresponsive, totally unconscious.
She rushed out of bed to find Natasha.
Natasha, groggy and barely awake, was dragged over. She checked Darion’s pulse and said, “Just stick a couple of needles in him and he’ll be fine.”
Thalia’s face was full of worry as she grabbed her phone, ready to ask what was wrong.
Natasha explained, “The state of his heart is all blocked up. He’s been overthinking, plus he caught a chill from being out all day.”
She patted Thalia’s shoulder. “Relax, he’s not gonna die.”
Thalia was left speechless.
Natasha gave Darion a quick acupuncture treatment, and his fever dropped almost instantly. The results were immediate.

She let out a big yawn. “Just give him some cold medicine tomorrow and he’ll be good as new.”
Then she wandered off, still half-asleep.
Thalia sat at the edge of the bed, watching Darion as he slept. There was a storm of emotions swirling in her usually clear eyes.
She could see the guilt he carried for Emely, and how much he beat himself up over Keith. All of it was written on his face, and she saw it all.
But she was a victim too. She couldn’t bring herself to say anything, and there was no way she could just set aside her own feelings for his sake.
The past really happened. No matter how much they learned now that it was all Miya’s manipulation, the truth didn’t erase what was done.
Just being able to accept Keith at all was already a big step for her.
