Chapter 740 Deeply Hidden
Thalia took his hand again and, without hesitation, wrote on his palm: [Rest. I’m not leaving.]
Darion leaned in a little closer, his voice low and husky. “Okay, but you have to stay by my side.”
Thalia just stayed silent, not giving him any reply.
Having her there really helped. Darion’s breathing gradually evened out, and he quickly drifted off to sleep, still holding her hand.
When he woke up again, an hour had passed, and dinner was already over.
Thalia had gone from sitting to lying down, facing him, her body turned toward his.
Darion’s hand wandered until it found her cheek, and he gently stroked it.
Thalia’s lashes fluttered as she opened her eyes. She took his hand and traced a question mark on his palm.
She was asking if he was still hurting.
Darion gave a small smile. “No, it doesn’t hurt anymore.”
Thalia sat up, picked up her phone, and texted him: [Then let’s get up and eat something. I’m starving.]
“Okay,” Darion replied.
Darion got up and followed her.
When they came downstairs, Diana and Natasha Riley were sitting in the living room watching TV. Natasha was having some popcorn, and when she saw them step out of the elevator, she tsked and muttered, “What a scheming guy.”
Diana, right beside her, heard that and smiled warmly. “Well, someone has to actually fall for his tricks for it to work.”
Natasha went quiet for a bit, then said, “Thalia is definitely blinded by his charm!”
The old lady burst out laughing, then turned to Thalia. “Are you hungry?”
Thalia nodded.
Darion said, “It’s all on me. I kept asking her to stay with me.”
Diana smiled, “You’re not feeling well, and she’s happy to keep you company. That’s a good thing, isn’t it? Go on to the dining room, the food’s still warm.”
“Okay,” Darion replied.
Darion nodded.

Chapter 740 Deeply Hidden
Thalia helped him into a chair, then went over to Natasha and showed her the herbal medicine she’d bought.
She typed on her phone: [Is it okay for me to drink these?]
Natasha checked them and said, “Yeah, you can. How come I never thought of this recipe? Where did you get it?”
Natasha’s eyes lit up as she looked at Thalia.
Thalia typed back: [I was out for dinner with a friend, bumped into his friend, and he showed it to me.]
Natasha nodded. “Sure, you can drink it together with the medicine I gave you. It’ll be even more effective.”
Thalia relaxed, then handed the herbal medicine to the staff to brew.
Natasha grabbed Thalia’s hand, her eyes shining with excitement. “Thalia, I saw the guy who came to pick you up. Is he your new boyfriend? He’s nothing like that loser Darion, totally different vibe. Honestly, your taste is on point!”
Thalia froze for a second, then let out a helpless sigh. She typed on her phone: [He’s just a friend.]
“Oh please, I don’t believe in pure friendship between guys and girls. Either one of you is really good at hiding your feelings, or you’re just pretending not to notice,” Natasha said, crossing her arms and giving her a knowing look.
Thalia was about to type something back, but Natasha leaned in closer and kept going, “Seriously, you should give him a shot. I think he seems pretty decent. I haven’t met him yet, but I’m great at reading faces, and he has a kind face. He definitely wouldn’t hurt you or make you cry.”
Right as Natasha finished talking, a loud crash came from the dining room.
Thalia spun around and rushed over. She saw Darion standing up. He’d knocked over a chair and was just standing there, looking all confused, like a kid caught doing something wrong.
