Chapter 744 Where’s My Daughter?
Thalia nodded. She had no choice but to agree.
Natasha, watching all this, whispered, “Thalia, who is Shyla?”
Thalia looked at her and quickly typed on her phone, “Diana’s daughter.”
Natasha’s eyes went wide. “So that’s your…”
Thalia shook her head, typing again, “I’m not her biological daughter.”
Natasha nodded, finally getting it, and didn’t say anything more.
Thalia got up and headed upstairs, just in time to run into Richard Blackburn, who was storming out of the study. She stepped aside to let him pass, keeping her eyes down, making sure not to make any contact with him.
Richard Blackburn didn’t like her, so she wasn’t about to go out of her way to get close.
‘Hmph.’ Richard snorted coldly, his disdain obvious.
Richard shot her a frosty look, then hurried downstairs without another word.
Thalia knocked on the study door. When she heard Darion’s calm voice, she pushed the door open and walked in.
Standing at the doorway, she typed on her phone, and the cold, robotic female voice spoke up. “Shyla passed away. Diana wants to go see her, so I’m going with her.”
Darion instinctively stood up. “I’ll go with you.”
“No need,” Thalia typed quickly.
“We’ll be back soon. We’re just going to see her off.”
Darion nodded. “Alright, I’ll have Dax go with you.”
“Okay,” Thalia replied.
Thalia turned to change her clothes. When she came downstairs, she saw Diana had also changed into a black dress.
Diana’s hands were trembling as she tried to button her dress, so Thalia stepped forward and helped her fasten the buttons.
Diana looked at her, her face pale, her eyes filled with grief she couldn’t hide. “Thalia, how could she just be gone like that…”
Thalia’s expression stayed calm as she typed on her phone, ‘She’d been sick for a long time, Diana. If it weren’t for everything that happened, she could have lived much longer.’

‘They made their own choices, Thalia thought.

‘Who else is there to blame?’ she added silently.
“Sigh…” Diana let out a long sigh.
In the end, Diana just sighed and held Thalia’s hand tightly.
Dax drove them to the hospital.
When Thalia saw Trenton again, it felt like ages had gone by. The once-energetic
chairman of Coleman Group now looked utterly worn out and old, his face etched with more wrinkles than Diana herself.
His back was slightly hunched as he stood by the morgue entrance.
The silence was so deep that every footstep echoed loudly.
He turned and spotted Thalia and Diana approaching together.
Trenton got up. “Mom, you’re here.”
Diana couldn’t hold back her tears. Clutching his hand, her voice shaky, she asked, ” Where’s Shyla? My… where’s my daughter?”
Trenton replied, “She’s inside. She was full of regret. She kept asking for you until her last moments…”
