I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 750

Chapter 750 The First Thing You Saw

When Thalia returned to Rosewood Manor, she saw Darion standing alone in the courtyard. Even though most of the snow had already melted, a few stray flakes still landed softly on his head.

He wore a black coat, white bandages covering his eyes. His tall figure stood amidst the withered garden, looking as if he’d been left behind by the world.

Thalia slowed her steps, an inexplicable wave of pity rising in her chest.

He seemed to catch the sound of her footsteps and turned his head slightly in her direction, a faint curve appearing on his pale lips.

“Thalia, it’s snowing,” he said.

Thalia walked over, typing on her phone and asking, “Why are you out here in the cold?” She couldn’t help but worry about him.

Darion’s voice was low and gentle. “I heard it was snowing, and it made me think of that winter we went skiing. You were still learning, so I tried to teach you. We both wiped out and looked ridiculous.”

Thalia lowered her gaze, that memory coming back to her as well. ‘I remember that day so clearly, she thought.

It was before Christmas. They’d gone on a date, and she’d ended up with a fractured leg. Darion carried her all the way down the mountain on his back, and they spent seven days in the hospital. After that, she never wanted to ski again.

That winter had been even colder than this one, the snowflakes bigger, but back then, she hadn’t noticed any of it. All she could feel was the pain in her leg, and all she did was complain and cling to him as he carried her.

‘How long ago was that?’ Thalia wondered.

‘Six years, I guess. Thalia thought.

Back in their college years, when things were sweetest between them.

Thalia lowered her gaze, tapping lightly on her phone screen. “I don’t remember,” she typed.

Darion lowered his head, his voice growing even softer. “How could you not remember? Back then, you…”

Before he could finish, Thalia took his hand and led him back inside.

Her hand was still warm from her coat pocket, but his was cool to the touch. She

couldn’t pass her warmth to him; instead, his cold seeped into her fingers.

Darion knew what she was trying to say.

Talking about the good times now wouldn’t change anything.

Even if she remembered, she wouldn’t admit it.

Because the sweetness was real, and so was the hurt.

Darion tightened his grip on her hand, a wave of unease washing over him for reasons he couldn’t explain.

And after the bodyguard reported she’d gotten into Sebastian’s car, that uneasy feeling only got stronger.

He’d never even given Sebastian a second thought before.

He and Thalia had loved each other for so many years. What could Sebastian possibly change? He was just a passing chapter in their story.

But now, he’d lost his confidence.

He couldn’t see anymore.

And Sebastian was perfectly healthy, a guy who’d never done anything to hurt her.

The more he thought about it, the more inferior he felt.

That’s why he couldn’t stop himself from calling her, even though he knew she couldn’t
