The red-haired guy sitting next to Thalia saw what was happening and smirked at her, his gaze full of mischief. “Hey, it’s the quiet girl, huh? Are you sure it’s safe eating here all alone? Maybe we should stick around. How about swapping numbers?”

He pulled out his phone and placed it in front of Thalia.

Thalia’s beautiful brows furrowed slightly. She didn’t want to argue with these guys. It was pointless. So she simply stood up, about to leave.

But just as she was about to leave, the red-haired guy suddenly grabbed her arm. “Hey, don’t go! I’m talking to you. Not talking, huh? What, are you deaf as well?”

Thalia’s gaze instantly chilled. She spun around, grabbed his wrist, and twisted it into a painful angle. The red-haired guy let out a loud yelp, his face twisted in agony.

“Let go… let go!” he cried out.

His’buddies saw what happened and got to their feet, giving Thalia dirty looks.

Thalia gave the red-haired guy a cold stare and shoved him off hard.

The red-haired guy clutched his wrist in pain, his face twisted with rage as he glared at her. “You stupid bitch who doesn’t know her place…”

After cursing her out, he charged forward. “Guys, hold her down and drag her into the alley!”

Outside, the night market was buzzing with life, but just a few steps away was a pitch- black alley. If she got pulled in there, who knew what kind of nightmare would await her.

The four men rushed at Thalia all at once. She spun around and dashed to escape. The people nearby saw what was happening and quickly backed off, not wanting any trouble. The four guys looked dangerous, and nobody wanted to mess with them. Dax, who was not far away, saw the whole thing. He cursed under his breath and rushed over.

But someone else moved even quicker.

The man pulled Thalia aside, then kicked the red-haired guy who was charging at her, knocking him to the ground. He let go of Thalia and landed punches on the faces of the other men who rushed up.

His moves were sharp and decisive. In less than thirty seconds, all four men were laid out on the ground.

He stood facing them, coldly staring at the group.

“What’s going on here?”

Dax spoke up, “Those guys were harassing my girl. Good thing this guy stepped in…”

He turned around to thank the guy who’d just stepped in, but the man had already vanished.

“Huh? Where’d he go?” Dax looked totally lost, then glanced at Thalia. “Thalia, did you see him?”

Thalia was still stunned, but hearing Dax’s question snapped her out of it. She suddenly started looking around anxiously, searching for the mysterious man.

Just then, someone in the crowd pointed over and said, “I saw him go that way.”

Without thinking twice, Thalia immediately followed in that direction.

Seeing this, Dax quickly told the security guards, “Arrest those punks. I’m going after my girl.”

He hurried after her, scratching his head in confusion. “Thalia, what are you doing?”
