Chapter 768 Just Get Divorced
“Hahaha, does it still taste the same as when you were a kid?” Samuel laughed when he saw her face. “You little rascal, you always used to trick me into thinking these berries were sweet, but every time I tried one, my teeth almost fell out from the sourness.”
The tart, sour flavor completely took over Thalia’s mouth, dominating her taste buds in a way that was almost aggressive. There was a hint of sweetness, but it was so faint it barely counted.
Thalia closed her eyes, waiting for the sourness to fade. When it finally did, she looked at Samuel, her fingers trembling as she typed on her phone. “You still remember all that?”
Samuel sighed. “Of course I do. Every time you came over, you’d trick me. I figured I had to get you back at least once. Did you forget all about it, kiddo?”
Thalia really had forgotten. She held the berry, having a hard time eating it.
Samuel chuckled. “Alright, if it’s not good, just toss it.”
Then he turned to Diana and said, “Diana, these berries are so sour. Why keep the tree? Why not just chop it down and plant a new one?”
Diana, lounging on the couch, replied lazily, “No way. The wine made from these berries is actually pretty good.”
“Alright then,” Samuel said.
He put the rest of the berries back in the fridge, planning to make wine when he had some free time.
Samuel said, “Take a break, then we’ll have dinner.”
It took Thalia some effort to finish the berry, but in the end, she was surprised to find she actually liked it.
It was tangy, not puckering at all, and really whetted her appetite.
Thalia typed on her phone, grinning at Diana. “Diana, with Samuel around every day, I can really rest easy.”
Diana nodded. “That’s right, the two of us old folks rely on each other now. It’s pretty
nice.”
A hint of concern lingered between her brows.
Thalia’s face grew serious for a moment, then she typed, “Now that you’re back, just live for yourself. Don’t worry about Oakwood anymore. At your age, you should just enjoy life, alright?”

“Okay, I’ll do as you say,” Diana replied.
She gave a gentle, kind smile and nodded.
Dinner was a feast. Samuel brought out the berry wine he’d made and poured
everyone a glass.
When he got to Thalia, he suddenly paused and asked, “Thalia, you’re not pregnant, are you?”
Thalia’s face stiffened for a moment, then she shook her head.
Samuel finally set the glass in front of her, but couldn’t help saying, “You’ve been married for ages and still no baby? Is Darion not up to the job or what?”
Thalia was left speechless.
