The person in charge turned to Wesley and said, “It’s just a villain role. If Mr. Blackburn thinks she’s right for it, then let’s go with it. The focus of the show is still on the protagonist anyway.”
Wesley gritted his teeth, his face clouded with displeasure. But he was only the voice director for this project. Whether or not it moved forward was up to the financier.
If Darion got angry and decided to pull the plug, Wesley wouldn’t even have a chance to complain.
He turned to his assistant. “Get another contract ready.”
“Got it,” the assistant replied.
When Thalia and Miya walked out, the person in charge stepped forward to congratulate them.
Miya looked surprised, pointing at herself. “Wait, you’re giving me Lilith Lane? But I don’t think I’m right for it.”
Darion, however, said, “I think you’re perfect for the role. Didn’t you say you were ready to start working? This is a great opportunity to get some experience.”
Miya smiled but glanced nervously at Thalia before shaking her head. “Darion, this doesn’t feel right. Lia got this role because of her own talent. If you just give it to me, it’s not fair to her.”
Darion looked at Thalia with sharp eyes. “What do you think?”
Thalia didn’t even spare him a second glance. She turned and walked away, feeling that as long as the protagonist’s voice role wasn’t taken, everything was fine.
Miya’s eyes flickered, and she said, “Forget it, Darion. Lia already has misunderstandings about us. If you do this, it’ll just make things worse.”
But Darion didn’t answer her. Instead, he kept his eyes fixed on Thalia’s retreating figure, wondering, ‘She doesn’t mind? Does she not care?’
He clenched his teeth, then turned and walked off.
After the contracts were signed, Thalia and Wesley exchanged contact information.
His gaze lingered on her for a moment, something unreadable flickering in his eyes. “So what’s the deal between you and Mr. Blackburn? And Miya?”
A thin smile curved across Thalia’s lips. “Those two? They deserve each other. Let’s not waste breath on them.”
Wesley’s brow drew tighter. “Look, I don’t know what happened between you, and frankly, I don’t care. But here’s the thing. Work stays at work, and personal stays personal. I don’t want any of that drama bleeding into this project and holding us back.
Her expression sobered. “Understood. It won’t be an issue.”
He gave a curt nod. “As long as you keep it that way, we’ll get along fine.”
With that, he gestured for his assistant to show Thalia to her desk.
Her immediate task was to watch the entire series she’d be voicing before diving into the recording work

The timeline was tight. The show was slated for release in three months, which meant all dubbing and editing had to be wrapped by then.
