Chapter 782 It’s Just An Excuse
Ryan relayed the contents of the photos, his face grim. “Mr. Clark has gone too far.”
If he didn’t like Jason, he could’ve just sent someone to throw Jason off the trail, make sure he never found the island, or simply knocked him out and had Darion come pick him up.
But instead, he locked Jason up and put him through hell.
‘What the hell is he trying to do?’ Ryan thought.
Darion’s voice was icy as he asked, “Did he go to the Solen Strait?”
Ryan nodded. “He’s already there.”
Darion said coolly, “Tell Ethan to pull Wendy and Jason out from the island. This time, raise the price to 30 million dollars.”
Ryan replied, “Got it.”
“Also…” Ryan took a deep breath before continuing, “Mr. Blackburn has been dropping by the company a lot lately, always questioning your decisions.
“Since he doesn’t have much stock, he can’t really make any calls, so the other directors haven’t backed him up. But if this keeps going, I’m worried they might start to
waver.”
After all, Darion’s eyesight still hadn’t improved, and who knows if he’ll ever recover. Nobody wants to follow a CEO who might be blind for life.
That would just be driving the company straight into the ground.
Darion said, “Let him handle the unimportant projects however he likes.”
Ryan replied, “Understood.”
After finishing his report, Ryan left Rosewood Manor.
Rosewood Manor had been eerily quiet these past few days. Darion had told the staff to stay out of the way, and he spent his time pacing back and forth in his room, trying to get used to the layout.
Whenever he accidentally bumped into something, he’d fumble around, snap a photo with his phone, and send it to Thalia.
He didn’t say a word, just kept sending her pictures.
Thalia: [If you need something, just ask someone else to help. Please, don’t try to do it yourself.]

Darion pressed the voice button apend on others for the rest of my life. I need to learn how to stand on my own, right?”
Chapter 82 its Just An Excuse
His voice was calm, but Thalia felt uneasy inside, her heart aching with worry as she listened.
Standing in the park, Thalia faced Sebastian Flynn, who looked at her with a puzzled expression. “Is something wrong with Mr. Blackburn?” he asked.
Thalia looked up at him, her eyes showing a mix of emotions. She quickly typed, “I’m heading back in a few days.”
Sebastian looked a bit surprised. “Christmas is just a week away. I thought you’d stay here and spend Christmas with Diana before leaving.”
She wished she could stay too.
But whenever she pictured Darion wandering around that massive villa by himself, always bumping into things, she couldn’t help but feel heartbroken for him.
Thalia looked down, her lashes fluttering as she typed, “I’ve already talked to Diana, and she’s fine with it.”
Sebastian nodded. “Then let’s grab some extra groceries today and have an early holiday dinner with Diana, just to celebrate a little ahead of time.”
Thalia nodded, then typed, “Weren’t you here for work? But it seems like you’ve had a lot of free time lately.”
“That was just an excuse,” Sebastian said with a smile, his eyes behind his glasses looking at her with extra warmth.
“I knew you were here, so I just followed you. Once I got here, I figured you wouldn’t kick me out. You’d probably even treat me well. After all, this place is like a second home to you.”
Thalia went quiet for a moment.
Sebastian flashed her a warm smile, looking at her kindly. “What’s wrong? Not used to me being so direct? Come on, we’re pretty close, aren’t we? Of course I say whatever I think when I’m with you.”
