When Diana saw them return from grocery shopping together, a smile appeared on her face. “I thought you wouldn’t be back for dinner.”

Sebastian replied gently, “Thalia mentioned you’ll be heading back to Oakwood soon, so I suggested we have dinner at home. It’s like an early family reunion meal.”

Diana said, “That’s very thoughtful of you. I’m glad you thought of it. But don’t worry about me. Samuel will keep me company. You two should do whatever you want.”

Sebastian took off his coat and said, “Diana, mind if I cook dinner tonight?”

“Oh, you,” Diana said with a fond smile. “Alright, I’ll leave you two to it.”

Sebastian grinned, “You haven’t really tried my cooking yet. I guarantee, once you taste it, you’ll be craving more.”

“Sounds good, I’m looking forward to it,” Diana replied with a cheerful laugh.

Thalia had already headed to the kitchen, sorting through the ingredients and getting ready for dinner.

When Sebastian walked in, she quickly motioned for him to leave.

‘He’s a guest. How can I let him cook?’ Thalia thought.

But Sebastian just grinned, “Diana said it’s fine. You can’t kick me out.” Thalia was surprised. ‘Wait, Diana’s really letting a guest cook?’ she wondered.

“Trust me, I’m not kidding. I told you, I want Diana to try my cooking, so let me take over the kitchen. If you really feel bad about it, just give me a hand,” Sebastian said with a gentle smile, his eyes warm behind his glasses.

Thalia was left speechless.

‘Alright, fine,’ she thought.

She couldn’t just let him handle everything in the kitchen, so she figured she might as well help him out.

Watching Sebastian move around the kitchen with practiced ease, Thalia could tell he’ d done this a thousand times before.
