Chapter 785 Can’t Let Go
Dinner was a feast, eight dishes and a soup, all just the way Thalia likes it.
Diana watched the scene unfold, a faint smile playing on her lips.
“Sebastian, you really know your way around the kitchen,” Diana said.
Sebastian smiled warmly. “Diana, give it a try. If there’s anything you don’t like, just tell me and I’ll work on it.”
“Alright,” Diana replied.
Diana picked up her fork and started eating.
Thalia, on the other hand, seemed a bit distracted.
Diana glanced at her and said, “Thalia, Sebastian made all these delicious dishes for you. Why are you spacing out? Come on, eat up.”
Thalia snapped out of it, gave a small smile, and nodded. “Okay.”
She’d had Sebastian’s soup before, and it was really good, so she knew what he was capable of in the kitchen.
But this time, he really blew her away.
The food looked amazing, smelled incredible, and tasted even better. Everything was exactly her favorite flavors.
Thalia kept her eyes down and ate in silence.
Diana noticed Thalia wasn’t saying much and sighed inwardly before speaking up.” This is really good.”
Sebastian smiled softly. “As long as you like it, that’s all that matters.”
Samuel came over and said, “How about some fruit wine? It’s a family reunion dinner. What’s a celebration without a little drink?”
Diana nodded. “Sure, let’s have some. Fruit wine won’t get us tipsy.”
But Sebastian said, “Thalia’s on herbal medicine right now, so she needs to be cautious about what she drinks. Let’s just get her some juice instead.”
Samuel nodded. “Got it, I’ve got some drinks ready.”
He set a glass of orange juice next to Thalia.
“Come on, let’s raise our glasses and toast to the new year!” Samuel, always the life of the party, said with a grin as he sat down.
Everyone raised their glasses and clinked them together, the sound ringing out.
Sebastian gazed at Thalia and said, “I hope the new year brings you peace, happiness,

and everything you wish for.”
Thalia curved her lips into a smile. “Th-thank you.”
Then Sebastian turned to Diana and said, “I hope you stay healthy and live to a
hundred.”
Diana smiled and nodded. “And may your career soar and all your wishes come true in the new year.”
“Cheers!”
The atmosphere warmed up as everyone chatted about recent happenings, what’s going on around the world, and the latest celebrity news. The conversation bounced all over the place, but everyone felt at ease and relaxed.
After dinner, Thalia loaded the dishes into the dishwasher. When she turned around, she saw Sebastian standing in the kitchen doorway, his eyes gentle behind his glasses as he watched her.
