Chapter 787 Give Up
This time, Thalia didn’t shy away from the question. She typed on her phone, “I’m worried about him. I keep thinking about when he’ll recover his sight.”
Sebastian’s gaze turned deep. “So if his eyes never heal, you’ll always feel guilty, right?”
Thalia looked at him, then typed, “Isn’t it normal for me to feel guilty? He ended up like this because of me.”
Sebastian sighed, a bit helpless. “Honestly, you really don’t need to blame yourself. It was his decision. He chose this.”
Thalia gave a crooked smile and typed, “Does that make me cold-hearted? Sure, I want a divorce, but I still hope we both live well. I don’t hate him enough to wish him dead.”
“You’re still way too soft-hearted,” Sebastian said, not holding back. “And he’s totally playing on that. That’s why he keeps throwing himself into danger, so you’ll always have him on your mind.”
He paused, his brows furrowed. “Man, he’s so calculating.”
Thalia was left speechless.
Words failed her.
Was she really clueless?
What’s done is done. There’s no point in questioning his motives now.
Sebastian adjusted his glasses. “But you know, if it were me, I might end up doing the same thing. Sometimes, you just have no idea how to hold on to someone you care about.”
Thalia paused for a moment, thinking of Darion, how he kept showing her how much he cared, always looking so pitiful and helpless.
Every time she didn’t respond, he always ended up looking heartbroken and lonely.
Even though he promised to agree to the divorce once he got better, he still wasn’t ready to let go, was he?
There was no need to question it anymore. His intentions were obvious. If Thalia just nodded or waved him over, he’d be right there at her side.
They dropped the subject. Thalia put on her eye mask and took a quick nap. When the train arrived, she unexpectedly ran into Bonnie at the exit.
Bonnie had a shy smile, her eyes shining as she looked at Thalia. “Thalia, were you surprised? Was it unexpected?”
Thalia nodded and typed, “How come you’re here?”

Bonnie replied, “I called Diana, and she said you were coming back today. I checked the time and guessed you’d be arriving around now, so I came here to wait for you.”
She stepped forward and hugged Thalia. “Thalia, I missed you so much.”
Thalia smiled and typed, “Thanks for coming to pick me up. I’ll treat you to a meal.”
Bonnie just smiled and nodded in agreement.
Sebastian, standing nearby, chimed in, “Mind if I tag along? I’m starving too.”
Thalia shot him a helpless look and nodded. ‘Of course, why not? We all came back together, one more meal doesn’t make a difference.’
Sebastian grinned. “My driver’s here. Why don’t you both come with me? Let’s grab something to eat first, then I’ll head back to the office.”
Thalia nodded, and they all got in the car.
