I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 93

Chapter 93

The attack came so fast that no one had time to react. Miya let out a sharp cry, instinctively throwing her arms up to shield her head.

The nanny froze for a moment, long enough for Miya to take several more blows before she finally rushed in to pull Thalia back.

Thalia’s breath came in uneven bursts, but her voice stayed ice-cold. “I didn’t touch you. But you wanted to play the victim and make him believe I did. So I figured I’d give you something real to cry about.”

She turned to Darion then, her gaze cutting straight through him. “You want to see how I hit someone? That’s it. That’s what it looks like. Not some pathetic little shove that barely leaves a mark. What would be the point of that?”

Darion was caught off guard by her outburst, but he recovered quickly and strode over, grabbing her by the wrist.

“Get off me!” she hissed, yanking against his grip, her voice cracking with barely contained fury.

Miya pressed her palm to her cheek, wincing. “Darion, please. Don’t do anything you’ll regret. Lia’s just upset. She didn’t mean it. I’m okay, really.”

In her mind, Darion was about to retaliate on her behalf. And if he laid a hand on Thalia now, there would be no going back for either of them.

But Darion said nothing. His handsome face was carved in stone, his entire presence radiating a cold, suffocating tension.

Without a word, he pulled Thalia into the elevator, then turned to the nanny. “Take her inside. Keep an eye on Keith.”

The nanny nodded hastily, her face pale. “Yes, sir. Of course.”

The elevator doors slid shut.

Miya stood frozen, confusion flickering across her features.

She wondered, ‘Wait, that’s it? He’s not going to do anything? I’m the one who got hit. And she just walks off? No apology, no nothing?”

“Mrs. Blackburn, I’ll get some ice for that,” the nanny offered quietly, noticing the rapid shift in Miya’s expression.

Miya shut her eyes for a moment, forcing down the shock, then turned and walked back inside.

Keith was curled up on the sofa, his nose red from crying, looking utterly pitiful.

Miya crossed the room and pulled him into her arms.

The moment she did, his crying only grew louder.

“Shh, it’s okay. I’m here,” she murmured, holding him tighter, almost desperately.

But Keith didn’t calm down. If anything, he became more inconsolable, his small body squirming and twisting, trying to break free from her embrace.

The nanny returned with the ice pack and paused at the sight. “Mrs. Blackburn, maybe he just needs a little space to play”

“Play?” Miya’s voice turned brittle. “Without his father’s love, what’s he got to play for? Might as well be a stray dog nobody

wants.

The nanny flushed and looked away, unsure what to say.

Miya still didn’t let go. But the tighter she held him, the harder Keith cried.

Svilges

The nanny watched from the corner of her eye, unsettled. Something about this felt wrong. But she was just the help It wasn’t her place.

Miya looked down at the sobbing child in her arms, her expression hardening. “Why are you so useless?” she muttered under her breath. “Is that it? Are you not suffering enough for him to care?”

Keith didn’t understand the words. He just kept crying, small body trembling, trapped in arms that held on too tight.

The air in the elevator had turned heavy.
