I Divorced You Now You Beg (Thalia and Darion) novel Chapter 95

Chapter 95

As Thalia followed the now-familiar route, a chill spread across her face.

Just then, her phone rang, and she checked the screen. It was Wendy calling.

“Hello?” Thalia answered.

56 vouchers,

“Thalia, your wedding ring is being auctioned tomorrow night. If you’re having second thoughts, it’s not too late to stop it, Wendy said, sounding concerned. She’d already set up everything for the auction but couldn’t help calling to check on Thalia.

“I’m not having second thoughts,” Thalia replied, her tone calm and steady. “Just go ahead and handle it. Once the money comes through, I’ll arrange a trip for you.”

But Wendy’s voice stayed uneasy. “Are you sure, Thalia? That ring represents everything you two went through.”

Thalia’s fingers curled slightly. She hadn’t really felt anything before, but now her palm burned, as if the weight of it was suddenly too much.

After a brief pause, she spoke again, quieter this time. “Every time I see it, all I can think of is how ridiculous I was, how I held on to something that was never meant to be.”

Wendy was silent for a moment.

Thalia gave a small, almost bitter smile and said, “Alright, go ahead and take care of it.”

“Okay,” Wendy replied.

When the call ended, Darion’s eyes shifted to her. “Who was that?”

Thalia didn’t respond.

Darion clenched his jaw, his expression darkening.

He thought, ‘Is she regretting everything now? After eight years, does she wish we never happened? But back then, she was the one who sent me love letters!

The car pulled up to Rosewood Manor, but Darion didn’t move to open the door. Instead, he fixed his gaze on her. “You really have a cold heart, don’t you, Thalia?”

Thalia’s lips curled into a smirk. “Well, it’s nothing compared to yours. You have a heart so soft that you’ll fit anything in it.”

Her biting words only fueled his anger.

Thalia raised an eyebrow. “What’s the holdup? We’ve arrived, so why aren’t you opening the door? You planning to make me sleep in the car tonight?”

Darion’s voice was cold, almost mocking. “It’s not like we haven’t done it before. What’s one more night?”

They had spent a night in the car once, after a camping trip. The temperature dropped drastically at night, and the tent wasn’t enough to keep them warm, so they retreated to the car.

Lying on the reclined seats, they watched the stars through the sunroof, letting the night air fill the space between them.

The more they looked up at the sky, the more things shifted. A quiet tension grew, and soon the windows fogged up,

blurring the world outside.

Sit vooching

They shared so many sweet moments, but now, looking back on them only made the memories hurt more, each one stabbing at her heart a little deeper.

Thalia’s breath became heavy as she took a deep inhale, her voice sounding dry. “Stop bringing up the past. Darion. You don’t even deserve to talk about it anymore.”

She wasn’t just rejecting the past eight years. She was rejecting him, too.

Darion’s gaze darkened as he stared at her. Without a word, he pressed a button, causing the passenger seat to slowly recline

Thalia noticed immediately, and her face went pale. “What are you doing?”

The seat belt yanked her back, and she quickly fumbled to unbuckle it.

But Darion was already right there, holding her down in the seat.
