“Well, well, Cormac,” he barked, striding into the scene. “Looks like mouse will play. You’re trying to act like me now that I’m gone?”

He planted his hands on his hips and shouted even louder than Cormac had moments before.
“Don’t you have your own students? Why are you meddling with mine? What’s the matter- jealous that yours are hopeless? Pretending to be a mentor, you shameless old coot!”
Cormac stood frozen, stunned.
He never imagined they’d mistaken him for someone else, and that the whole embarrassing fiasco had erupted from such a misunderstanding.
All those flattering words–every bit of praise–had been meant for William, not him.
“Luna! Leo! Something’s wrong with Mr. Flint–you’d better come quick!” Word of the commotion at the MDT clinic spread rapidly through the hospital.
A nurse who was close to Luna rushed to the conference room to find her.
The moment Luna and Leo heard what had happened, they sprang from their seats and hurried downstairs.

Having thoroughly embarrassed himself before everyone, Cormac’s face turned an ugly shade of red.
Yet he stubbornly clung to his belief that Oriana had been scheming family to plead for favors and “buy” her way past the screening process.
But then, a sudden thought crossed his mind.
His expression hardened–dark and defiant.

“William,” he snapped, “don’t raise your voice at me. I know exactly what you’re up to. You’re just afraid people will find out that you were the one taking bribes from students!”

Tessor or a doctor,
it was a grave offense–one that struck at the heart of professional cines. How could anyone throw around such a slanderous charge so carelessly?
The crowd gasped in shock, the air thick with disbelief.
“Isn’t Mr. Harris known for his dedication to his patients? How could he possibly do something like that?”
“Yes, I remember once a patient’s family tried to give him a huge sum of money, but he turned them down right away.”
“Well, people can be deceiving. Sure, he’d refuse if others were watching–but who knows what goes on behind closed doors?”
“But Mr. Flint doesn’t have any proof…”
“Who said I don’t?” Cormac cut in sharply, his voice dripping with smugness.
He suddenly grabbed Bryan’s right hand and declared with absolute confidence, “The evidence is in his coat pocket! He was about to take it out to bribe me when I stood up and opened the door. He panicked and stuffed it back in–that’s the proof!”
Cormac smirked triumphantly, his eyes locked on Bryan. Then, in one swift motion, he yanked open Bryan’s coat.

Everyone craned their necks to see–and then fell silent in disbelief.
It was indeed a bulging package… but inside was a bag of fried dried seafood snacks.
Who in their right mind would use that as a bribe?
William’s eyes widened, and a grin spread across his face. “Well, these are the dried seafood snacks from my hometown! I haven’t seen these in years!”
He snatched the packet from Cormac’s hand like a delighted child, holding it as if it were a
