Oriana’s anger was instantly doused by a crashing wave of love that surged forth, washing it all
away.
Her mouth fell open as she froze, belatedly realizing the meaning behind his words.
“Even if I never learn to cook, I can still order takeout. It’s so convenient now, of course I could manage?”
Micah frowned. “It’s not healthy. A day or two is fine, but ten years, decades… were you going to keep eating like that forever?”
“And so you’d just run a restaurant at a loss for decades?”
“Yes,” He answered quickly, as if this had always been his conviction. “It can exist for you, for as long as you are here.”
Aurora House, for her alone.
“You…”
Oriana was completely speechless now.
Angry that he made such a big deal out of it and was so extravagant, yet deeply moved by the thought he’d put into ensuring the simple, daily comfort of her meals.
She felt her whole being, her entire heart, was filled to the brim with Micah’s love, so much it was overflowing.
Sensing her emotional shift, Micah moved closer again, holding her in his arms and kissing her. “Don’t be angry. Whatever you want to do about it, I’ll listen to you, okay?”
Oriana looked at him. “Not worried about me going hungry now?”
This time, she didn’t push him away. Micah kissed her more deeply, his breath mingling with hers. “With me here, you won’t
go hungry.
“Because we will never be apart.”
Half an hour later, Oriana finally had a chance to change into her loungewear.
When she came out of the room, her face was flushed, and her lower lip was slightly swollen.

Knowing she hadn’t eaten much at the restaurant, Micah had boiled some Ravioli for her- brought from the Caldwell Estate, made with vegetables from Noah’s little garden.
Oriana brought out her laptop and books, then sat cross–legged on the sofa, cating one after another.
She casually shared the day’s adventures with Micah.
This included, naturally, what Lily had told them about Leo and the other four.
Micah listened quietly, letting out a low, meaningful chuckle. “They certainly believe in repaying kindness. Pity they’re repaying the wrong person.”
The vegetables from Noah’s garden were fresh and slightly sweet, exceptionally delicious wrapped in ravioli with shrimp. Oriana stuffed two in her mouth at once, her cheeks bulging.
She remembered Micah telling her before the holiday that he would handle this matter and asked, “You’ve already made a move against them?”
Micah looked at her tenderly. “Still letting the line out. But we’re about to reel it in.”
Oriana didn’t know what arrangements he’d made behind the scenes, but since he said he would handle it, she wouldn’t pry.
She trusted him.
Just as she was about to finish the remaining ravioli, Micah spoke up again, “Ethan sent you a gift.”
“Mhmm, two thousand. I transferred it back to Lily.”
“Alright. I see.”
Oriana found it strange that he only asked briefly, but didn’t dwell on it. After finishing the ravioli, she got up, put the bowl in the dishwasher, and planned to watch the show with Micah.
Instead, he raised a hand, gesturing for her to send him the draft document.
Surprised, she asked, “You want to read it?”
“Isn’t it due tomorrow afternoon? I’ll work on it with you. Let’s try to finish it tonight.”
Then he added pointedly, “Unless you were planning to stay up late after I fell asleep, or wake up early tomorrow to finish it?”

Oriana stuck her tongue out. She wouldn’t admit to that, of course!

She grinned, teasing him, “Sure you won’t blame me for focusing on work and not spending time with you?”
Micah raised a brow. “Do I seem that petty?”
