He turned to Bramwell, his expression strained but polite. “Mr. Sterling, could we speak privately?”

Bramwell snorted arrogantly, “What’s there to talk about? Just clear the place out! Don’t let this ruin my son–in–law’s proposal to my daughter!”

Hunter looked troubled. “Mr. Sterling, that’s against our policy. We really didn’t get any notice about a private booking…”

“Who needs notice? A proposal is a surprise! That’s the whole point! Besides, my daughter is your boss‘ benefactor! Having the most important moment of her life here is a great honor for him!

“Enough talk. Just clear the area.”

Hunter almost laughed in frustration. In all his years in Jindiwood’s service industry, he’d never met anyone as unreasonable as Bramwell!

He didn’t dare make the call himself and quickly ducked into a corner to call Arthur, who was preparing dishes in the kitchen.

Clearly, Arthur hadn’t received any notice either and was stunned by the news.

“He really said that?” Arthur’s tone was calm, betraying no emotion.

Hunter assured him, “I’m telling you exactly what he said. He kept insisting Ms. Sterling is your benefactor. What could I say?”

Arthur was silent for a moment. “Is Luna there too?”

Hunter paused and glanced back.

Just then, Luna and Grant arrived. They were now having a warm family reunion with Bramwell and Evelyn, completely ignoring the guests still being held

up outside.

Hunter wiped his face. “Ms. Sterling just arrived. It looks like she’s okay with what her father’s doing!”

There was another silence on the other end of the line.

After a long moment, just as Hunter thought Arthur wasn’t going to respond, Arthur finally made a decision.

“I see.”

Hunter’s heart sank. “Mr. Pendragon, are we really clearing the place? These guests all made reservations. It’s Valentine’s Day! If we turn them away, our restaurant will be boycotted online within the hour!”

“I didn’t say to clear them out.”

Arthur gave a bitter laugh. Had he made so many exceptions for Luna and her family that even Hunter thought he’d lost his sense of judgment?

“All guests with reservations are to be seated as normal. As for Luna… quickly arrange for someone to set up an outdoor area on the rooftop terrace. Consider it my final gift to her.”

Arthur’s voice was gentle, but the resolve in his tone was firmer than ever before.

Hunter was elated. “Yes, Mr. Pendragon! I’ll arrange it right away!”

After hanging up, Hunter immediately put on a smile and ushered the waiting guests towards the elevators.

Bramwell’s face fell, and he demanded an explanation. Hunter cheerfully relayed Arthur’s decision. Finally, he looked at Luna and asked, “Ms. Sterling, if you’re unhappy with this arrangement, you’re welcome to find another venue.”

Luna felt a pang of irritation. On a big holiday like this, where else could she find a place with such a prime location and high–end food without spending a dime?

She forced a smile. “It’s fine. A bigger crowd makes it more lively. Besides, Arthur found us a new spot. I’m happy with that.”

She was always good at saving face.

Grant put his arm around her. “Having more witnesses to our happiness is a blessing too.”

“Mhmm, Grant is right!”

“We’ll go get ready now. Please wait a moment.”

Hunter smiled and led the other guests upstairs.
