Inside the restaurant, the diners–and even the pedestrians outside–were completely drawn in by the spectacular livestream of Grant and Luna’s grand proposal.
“Look! There’s a drone show! What an incredible proposal!”
“Holy crap, he’s live–streaming the whole thing and setting off fireworks! Rich people sure know how to celebrate Valentine’s Day. I’m so jealous.”
“Wait, hold up. Are those drones supposed to be flying like that? They look kinda messy. And- why are there ribbons tied to them? What are they trying to do?”
“Look closely! The drones are positioned to match the stars, and see that green light flashing beneath them? Are they trying to create a sky full of stars on the ground?”
“Not just on the ground–those ribbons are all leading down to the man standing on the balcony of Aurora House! He’s literally holding an entire galaxy in his hands!”
“Damn, that’s so romantic! Forget the cheesy fireworks and livestream–this is way more creative!”
“What a genius idea! He’s rich, romantic, and clearly head over heels for her!”
“Luna, congratulations!”
“Luna, I’m so jealous! That was the most perfect proposal ever. You’re officially the happiest woman in all of Jindiwood!”
Luna looked down at the diamond ring sparkling on her finger and beamed, soaking up every blessing and compliment coming her way. Her heart swelled with pride.
After tonight, everyone would know her as Grant’s fiancée–the future Mrs. Holloway. From the tech world to Jindiwood University and the hospital, everyone would recognize her as the woman about to marry Grant. This honor was hers and hers alone.
She and Grant raised their glasses to celebrate. Then someone in the crowd gasped. “Wait- there’s more? Another surprise? Mr. Holloway, you’re spoiling her!”
Grant frowned slightly. He hadn’t planned anything else.
From afar, Luna spotted another wave of drones rising into the sky. She giggled and playfully nudged him. “Another one? Seriously?”

Grant assumed it was Alaric and the others‘ doing, so he chuckled indulgently. “I’ll always think you deserve more–and better.”
“Grant, you’re the sweetest.”
Luna giggled, her tone sugary and soft. The people around them couldn’t help but watch, and Bramwell urged the couple to look down and enjoy the romantic view together.
From the top floor, they could see the entire garden terrace of the restaurant below.
Watching the scene unfold, Evelyn covered her mouth and laughed softly. “Grant is so thoughtful. He’s gone all out for this proposal. I bet their wedding will be even more extravagant.”
Owen squinted at the view, puzzled as he caught a glimpse of Micah from behind. “It’s a cool idea–way more creative than fireworks. But shouldn’t those ribbons be for Luna?”
“Owen, you’re missing the point.”
Bramwell said knowingly, clearly proud of his insight. “Grant must’ve done it this way for Luna’s safety. Drone shows are beautiful, but if one goes off course, it could be dangerous.”
“I see. You’re right, Dad. Grant really thought of everything!”
Luna leaned into Grant’s chest, her fingers laced with his. Her eyes shimmered under the lights. “Grant, I love this proposal. It’s perfect.”
Grant was about to respond when another shout rose from the crowd. “Wait a second! Isn’t that drone show for another couple?”
“Yeah! Look, that girl holding the bouquet of roses–she’s walking toward him! They’re the real stars of this proposal!”
Luna’s smile froze. She quickly looked down again—and when she saw clearly, she gasped.
“Oriana? What is she doing there?”
Grant and the others all turned pale.

Under the gaze of hundreds of onlookers, Oriana moved quietly toward Micah.
Her steps were cautious, her palms slick with sweat as she clutched the roses. She was more nervous now than she’d been performing her very first surgery.
