Zara agreed to have the child, but to avoid raising suspicions from the Radcliffe family, she requested to marry Kenny for two years and then use a “marital discord” excuse to divorce him afterward.

Niamh, naturally wanting Zara to complete the child–rearing period, generously agreed to help the Radcliffe family out of their predicament. In return, they promised at least three years of close project collaboration, supporting the Radcliffe family’s ventures. Zara even sent Oriana a voice message, smiling as she said, “Rich people just throw money around like it’s nothing.”

Oriana shook her head in awe at how quickly Zara had handled everything.

“Yep. She said she’ll enjoy herself tonight and move in tomorrow.”

Micah nodded. “Smart girl.”

At least Zara knew exactly what she wanted–no fuss, no pretense.

They were satisfied that Zara understood this.

She didn’t make them wait, and she didn’t deliberately use her pregnancy as leverage.

Oriana returned to the couch and typed a message. “Does Kenny know about this?”

Zara, relaxing at a spa and humming happily, sent a voice message back.

“Why would he need to know? He’s just an intermediary. This doesn’t really concern him.”

Oriana twitched slightly at her words.

Not really concerned? He’s the father of your child–and the husband you’ll be living with for two years.

Shaking her head, Oriana added, “Take it easy. I have work during the day tomorrow, so I’ll come by Caldwell Estate later.”

After a moment, she said, “If you’re worried, I can have Micah come by earlier to keep you company.”

Zara laughed excitedly. “What’s my husband going to do? I can handle a hundred people by myself!”

She grinned mischievously. “Besides, I’ve got the ultimate trump card. Anyone who dares to mess with me? I’ll just show off my belly and scare them out of their wits!”

Oriana had no words.

The next morning, Oriana still felt uneasy. She asked Micah to head to Caldwell Estate early, skipping the hospital this time.

Micah pouted playfully. “You love Zara more than me, huh?”

Oriana quickly kissed his cheek. “Of course, I love you more, but Zara’s in a special situation. Can you help me keep an eye on her?”

Micah grumbled but obeyed. “Fine. I’ll have Kieran pick you up.”

“Okay, I’m off.”

At the hospital, Oriana entered the changing room to get dressed.

Just as she reached the door, someone called her.

It was Nyla, whom she hadn’t seen in a while.

Nyla was still her usual haughty self, radiant and full of energy.

Crossing her arms, she gave Oriana a once–over. “Tsk, you gained some weight over the break. Oriana, you really lack self–control.”

Oriana touched her face. If Nyla hadn’t pointed it out, she wouldn’t have noticed.

Micah’s cooking had been so good recently, she had been eating a bit too much.

“Need something?” Oriana asked.

“Why not? Can’t I come find you if I want?” Nyla pouted. “Congratulations, by the way. I heard you passed the preliminary exam–but we’ll see what happens in the finals!”

Oriana raised an eyebrow, calm and collected. “Sorry, I don’t have to take the finals. I’ve already been accepted.”

“How did you get into Jindiwood University’s Medical College without taking the final exam?” Nyla sounded disbelieving,

Oriana explained honestly. “It was a special exception granted by Mr. Harris. Plus, he’s launching a new research project and needs more people.”

Nyla snorted. “Lucky you!”

Her tone carried more envy than resentment.

She had already witnessed Oriana’s capabilities and respected her character.
