Oriana caught on. “Director Hill, you want me to be in the video?”

Chuck looked her over, straightforward. “Among the young people coming from our team, it’s just you and neurologist Lottie. Honestly, your image is better.”

“Dr. Murray is pretty, too,” Oriana said.

“But her stature isn’t ideal; she’s a bit short. Kai’s tall, a big star. If Lottie is in the video with him, they might not look right side by side.”

Seeing Oriana wasn’t very enthusiastic, Chuck added, “I checked for you. The filming is after our volunteer hours, so it won’t affect patient care. Chuck finally breathed easier. “Pack your bags and find Nash. Kai’s staying at Nash’s place now. You can talk to him directly.”

Oriana’s eyes flickered. “Director Hill, I won’t move in just yet. I’ll go talk to Kai first.”

“Fine, do whatever you think best.”

After seeing Chuck off, Oriana headed toward Nash’s house.

Just as she arrived, voices carried from the yard inside.

“Kai, we’ve met before. Luna even gave me your autograph photo: Honestly, we’re closer. Pick me for the video. I think we’d look great together.” Lottie wrung her hands, blushing.

“Don’t mention that disgusting name. Just hearing Luna makes me want to puke!” Kai snapped without any politeness. “Same to you. Stay as far away as possible. And maybe look in the mirror more often. You and me? What are we, a beast and a handsome guy?”
