Chapter 454 Begs for a Favor
Kieran was way trickier to handle than Luna.
But Henley was out of options.
:
Meeting Micah was definitely out of the question.
As for Oriana…

He never imagined that the bitch who got him arrested over the ring last time was actually Oriana. If he’d known, he wouldn’t have picked a fight with her. Instead, he’d have greeted her with a smile and pleasantries.
As the saying goes, never slap a smiling face.
And now? He messed up back then, and now, before he could even get close to her, several burly guys would cover his mouth and drag him away, warning him never to show his face near their lady again.
Who else but Micah could pull off something like that?
Kieran offered a thin, insincere smile, his tone polite yet distant. “Mr. Frost, I’m afraid I don’t understand what you’re saying. I don’t recall asking you to do anything.”
Henley swallowed hard, responding eagerly with an “I get it” look plastered on his face. “Of course. Mr. Duke, you never said a word. It was all my own doing. My heart just aches for Oriana–thinking of how she’s suffered all these years out there, even having her father’s medal stolen by that Luna… Every time it crosses my mind, I get so furious for Oriana. I could just slap that little tramp Luna silly myself!”
By the end, a venomous, sinister glint flashed in Henley’s eyes.
His hatred for Luna was bone–deep.
Before everything went south, Grant and Luna were the epitome of success, admired and envied by everyone.
He didn’t understand AI or tech, but he read the news! Not long ago, headlines were hyping Grant’s plans for advanced joint robots, with everyone placing high hopes on him, applauding and calling him the nation’s youngest, top–tier tech pioneer.
The media even dug up how much Grant spent on Luna’s proposal–the diamond ring alone was nearly a million, plus they’d set up home in one of Jindiwood’s most luxurious

Luna had latched onto Grant, living a charmed life, but she showed him a completely different face!
Back then, she used to give him a line of credit for luxury goods–two hundred thousand, just like that! But then she cut off the card without a second thought. After that, whenever he asked for money,
she’d get all stingy and tight–fisted. In the end, she wouldn’t even pick up his calls!
Hah! Since she showed no mercy, he had no reason to be righteous!
Thinking this, Henley turned an even more obsequious face toward Kieran, his performance of remorse almost convincing.
“Mr. Duke, you have no idea how utterly tormented I’ve been these past few days! On one hand, there’s Luna, whom I watched grow up. On the other hand, there’s the true daughter of
gone my own aunt and uncle. My heart aches at the thought of betraying either! If Luna hadn’t too far, if I could have just turned a blind eye, I would never have been driven to such extreme measures!”
Henley’s voice choked with fake tears.
“My heart aches with guilt for Oriana! So much that I can’t even face her! But we are family, bound by blood. In this world, besides us, she has no other relatives, I…”
Before he could finish, Kieran cut him off coolly. “Mrs. Caldwell has Mr. Caldwell by her side.”
“Uh, yes! Of course Mr. Caldwell is wonderful to Oriana! Ah, my clumsy tongue, I misspoke. I meant relatives who share the same blood.”
Kieran’s powerful aura, with just a word or two, made cold sweat break out on Henley’s back.
Not wanting to be entangled further, Kieran glanced at his watch. He stated simply and clearly, “Mrs. Caldwell had no need for you in her past life. She has no need for you now, nor in the future.”
Henley instantly bristled with anger. “Damn it, you’re going back on your-”
“Mr. Frost.” Kieran’s tone remained calm, a timely reminder. “Fraudulently claiming a martyr’s honor, extortion and blackmail based on that, sexual harassment, unlicensed resale of luxury goods for cash. Any single one of those charges would be enough to give you more than enough trouble to handle.”
Kieran slightly lifted his gaze, looking straight at Henley’s completely bloodless face. “I advise you to think twice before proceeding.”

Having delivered his simple and pointed message, Kieran turned away. As he was about to leave, he glanced back at the stunned Henley and said, “If I were you, I’d tuck my tail and leave Jindiwood–it is nothing but trouble here. After all, no shadow can stay hidden for long here. Who knows when misfortune might strike.”
With that lightly spoken yet heavily loaded warning, Henley’s knees nearly gave way. He staggered, his strength deserting him. Staring at Kieran’s impeccably tailored retreating back as if he’d seen a ghost, he turned and fled in panic.
