Chapter 461 Complaints to Luna
Oriana said, “Alright.”

Seeing that Oriana wasn’t angry about his earlier nonsense, Kai finally felt a little more settled.
But he was also deeply sad inside. How could he have offended the daughter of his benefactor like that?
He really shouldn’t have!
“Look, it’s Kai Sullivan!”
“Wow! He’s even more handsome in person than on TV!!”
“Hiss… what’s Kai doing? Why did he just slap himself?”
“Wait, he’s acting all humble and subservient towards Oriana… Could it be that he’s into Dr. Sterling…?”
“Shush! Don’t talk nonsense! What if someone with ill intentions hears and twists it? Everyone knows Dr. Sterling and Mr. Caldwell are devoted to each other. How could Kai possibly be so foolish? They’re probably rehearsing for the shoot. Don’t let your imaginations run wild!”
Not far away, a group heading back to their lodgings happened upon the scene and couldn’t help but voice their speculations.
The head nurse in the group sharply reprimanded them, quashing any unsavory thoughts.
However, as soon as she finished speaking, several people instinctively glanced towards Lottie.
After all, the head nurse’s words were clearly aimed at Lottie.
Given the recent friction between her and Oriana.
And sure enough, Lottie was staring intently at Oriana and Kai, watching Kai’s eager–to–please demeanor around Oriana. Her fists were clenched tightly.
She suddenly turned and walked in the opposite direction.
“Lottie, where are you going?”
“Leave me alone!”

Lottie stormed off, visibly agitated.
Seeing this, no one bothered to ask further and invite trouble.

Lottie reached the village riverbank. Fuming, she kicked a few stones. Unfortunately, her shoes were thin, and she only succeeded in hurting her toes. In a fit of rage, she pulled out her phone and called Luna Sterling.
“Luna! You have no idea how utterly disgusting that bitch Oriana is!”
Lottie recounted every detail of the humiliation she suffered at Oriana’s hands.
Luna was in the kitchen, simmering a pot of soup. A rich, milky–white fish broth emitted a fragrant aroma.
As she listened to Lottie’s rant, she picked up a small container of medicinal powder nearby, pinched some between her fingers, and slowly sprinkled it into the bubbling soup.
The white, crystalline powder dissolved into the rolling liquid, vanishing without a trace.
Luna gave a light, dismissive laugh. “Lottie, don’t be angry. You’ve only been there a couple of days. You’ll have to get along with Oriana for much longer. It’s best to be patient.”
“Patient? I’m not her parent! Why should I put up with her?!” Lottie fumed indignantly.
“Luna, can’t you talk some sense into Kai? He’s completely bewitched by Oriana. You wouldn’t believe it–he just slapped himself earlier, didn’t even blink, acting like a total simp. It made me so mad!”
Lottie ranted furiously.
A dark gleam flashed in Luna’s eyes. “They seem very close?”
“Close isn’t the word! I saw his eyes glued to Oriana. He’s clearly smitten with that little seductress!”
Luna naturally knew Kai’s feelings for Oriana weren’t romantic.
But… Others might not see it that way.
Luna stirred the boiling soup, then turned off the heat. Leaning casually against the kitchen island, she mused with feigned concern, “Kai really isn’t being considerate. Oriana is a married woman. If they get too close, it will invite gossip. And his legions of female fans can’t stand him interacting with other women. If this gets out, it won’t be good for either of them!”

Lottie, solely focused on getting back at Oriana, instantly caught on. “You’re right! If I can’t handle Oriana, others can! Luna, you’re so clever!”
Luna pretended to be startled. “Lottie, what are you planning? Don’t do anything rash!”
“Don’t worry. I’m just upholding justice. I absolutely cannot tolerate this bitch who has no real skills and just climbs the ladder using her connections!”
Lottie said no more and immediately hung up. Luna didn’t even have a chance to pretend to stop her.
Not that she really intended to. If Lottie could stir up some trouble, Luna would be more than happy to sit back and watch the show.
“Mrs. Holloway, why are you in the kitchen? The fumes aren’t good for you or the baby.”
