Chapter 462 Luna’s Dinner Delivery
Alaric didn’t waste time; he’d already procured a live–in caretaker, Ella, by noon. Ella entered the scene and immediately showered Luna with warmth.
Luna put down her phone and smiled calmly, “Grant is so swamped with work, I wanted to make him some soup myself. But with all the attention outside right now, it’s not wise for me. to be out and about. Ella, would you mind delivering this for me?”
As she spoke, Luna took a few bills from her pocket. “If you get tired on the way, treat yourself to a snack or a drink and take a break.”
Ella’s eyes
lit up, catching on immediately. “Don’t you worry, Mrs. Holloway. I’ll personally make sure this soup gets into Mr. Holloway’s hands and that he drinks every last drop!”
Ella had also seen the online gossip. After arriving, Luna played the part of the pitiful, fragile wife, leading Ella to believe that Grant was being neglectful because he was being tempted by someone outside. She felt great sympathy for Luna.
Seeing Luna’s seemingly deep devotion to Grant, Ella’s kind heart even wanted to play the role of a matchmaker. After all, they had a baby on the way and were newly married. Surely they shouldn’t divorce over a little trouble?
Ella actively packed up the fish soup, leaving two bowls for Luna.
“Huh? What’s this? I didn’t add any MSG…” Ella noticed the small, transparent crystals left by
the stove.
Luna smiled, “That’s something I added just now. I accidentally added too much salt, so I put in a bit of MSG to balance it out.”
“Oh, okay.” Ella didn’t suspect a thing. “Then, Madam, remember to drink the soup. I’ll be back
soon.”
“Yes, Ella, be careful on the road. No rush.”
Luna watched Ella leave. After the door closed, she turned back to the kitchen and picked up the two remaining bowls of fish soup.
She raised her hands and poured the entire contents into the sink. The reflection in the mirrored backsplash showed the smile on her face, a hint of desolation slowly morphing into something wild.

Grant had just wrap PR fallout.
Night had fallen. He pinched the bridge of his nose, utterly exhausted.
“Grant, the housekeeper from home is here. Says she brought you some food.”
Alaric pushed the door open and announced this.
Grant frowned. “I have no appetite.”
No sooner had he spoken than Ella, following Alaric in, cheerfully placed a thermal flask on the desk. “Mr. Holloway, no matter how tired you are, you need to eat. Ruining your stomach is a serious issue. Besides, Mrs. Holloway personally oversaw the making of this soup. How could you waste her thoughtful gesture?”
Grant looked at this overly familiar housekeeper with extreme impatience.
But the thought struck him: she had just started work and was an outsider. If he showed any sign of hostility, she might go out and spread rumors, rendering his entire afternoon’s PR efforts useless.
No matter how much he currently despised Luna, maintaining a stable marriage was beneficial for the company, for him, and for the child.
Grant had no choice but to grit his teeth and endure.
He picked up the bowl of fish soup and took a sip, then immediately frowned. “Why is it bitter?”
“That shouldn’t be! How could it be bitter? Maybe the fish gall wasn’t cleaned properly!”
Grant suppressed a sigh. In the end, with his brows still tightly furrowed, he downed the entire bowl.
Ella watched intently. Seeing Grant finish it all, a big smile spread across her face.
“Ah! My mission is finally accomplished. Mrs. Holloway will be so happy to know you finished every bit of her thoughtful gift.”
Grant set down the bowl and gave a perfunctory nod. “Your job is to take good care of her. Don’t concern yourself with anything else.”
“I’ll remember your words, Mr. Holloway. It’s just that Mrs. Holloway is pregnant now. Her emotional state has a huge impact on the baby. If you have time, you really should go home

Grant pulled out a tissue to wipe his hands, his voice cold as he ordered Alaric, “From now on, don’t just let anyone in.”
Alaric acknowledged the order.
“Sorry, miss. Without an appointment, Mr. Holloway does not see external visitors casually.”
Jonathan was stopped by the receptionist at the door.
She looked anxious, her expression sincere and earnest. “But I really have something very important to discuss with Mr. Holloway. It concerns… it concerns matters between Mr. Holloway and Luna!”
