“Oh? Since you refuse to show true remorse…” A meaningful, almost cold smile touched Oriana’s lips. She turned and gave Kieran a slight nod. “Bring him here.”
Lottie’s face instantly drained of color. “Who? What are you doing, Oriana? Don’t you dare try to pin more on me! I won’t admit to anything!”
Now, panic truly began to set in.
At Kieran’s signal, two bodyguards soon approached, dragging a badly beaten man with a baseball cap pulled low over his face. One eye was swollen shut, his lips split.
Lottie’s eyes locked onto him, her heart hammering against her ribs.
Kai frowned, staring hard for a long moment before recognition dawned. “Hank? Is that you?!”
Oriana turned to him, surprised. “You know him?”
“Unfortunately, yes,” Kai admitted bluntly. “He’s a slimy paparazzo who specializes in stalking celebrities. A real pain. But… I actually saved him from a beating once. We had a… sort of okay relationship after that.”
He paused, the bizarre scene clicking into a terrible possibility. His face darkened instantly. He lunged forward, shoving past the bodyguard and grabbing the man by the collar.
“Damn it! Was it you? Were you the one posting all that shit about Oriana online?!”
Hank cowered, unable to meet his gaze, but nodded. “Y–yes… it was me…”
“You son of a-!”
Kai’s fist clenched, drawing back with full force before slamming into the man’s face.
Hank crumpled to the ground, spitting out a mouthful of blood.
Fury burning in his eyes, Kai moved to grab him again, but his manager and assistant rushed forward to pull him back. “Kai! Calm down!”
“Let go of me! I’ll kill him!”
“That’s assault! If anyone films this, you’re finished!”
“I don’t care! Because of him, Oriana was torn apart online! Killing him is too good for him!”

It took several people considerable effort to drag the still–kicking and shouting Kai away.
Having taken a solid punch and a few stray kicks during the scuffle, Hank–already thoroughly worked over the day before–curled into a trembling ball on the ground.
“Stop… stop hitting me! I’ll talk! I’ll tell you everything! Someone gave me the photos and paid me to post them! I just… I just wanted to cash in on the traffic…”
“Cash in on your mother!” Kai roared from a distance, still struggling.
Stunned that Hank had confessed so readily, Lottie began to tremble uncontrollably.
Audrey saw it immediately, her face filled with disbelief. “Lottie? Don’t tell me you also-”
“No! I didn’t!” Lottie shook her head frantically, as if trying to shake it right off her shoulders. “Dr. Bishop, listen to me! This time it really wasn’t me! It was Luna! It was Luna Sterling!”
Her legs gave way completely, and Lottie collapsed onto the ground once more. Clutching desperately at Audrey’s clothes, she pleaded, “It was Luna! Luna Sterling gave me the idea! This has nothing to do with me! If she hadn’t pushed me into it, how would I have ever known a sleazy paparazzo like him?”
“Lu–na–Ster–ling?”
Kai’s already bloodshot eyes widened, staring straight ahead.
His bloodshot eyes widened in a fixed stare ahead. His furious, rigid body went utterly still, as if frozen.
“That’s it… Luna asked me a while back if I knew any journalists. Said she wanted to look something up. I gave her Hank’s contact. It was back then!”
In the next instant, Kai raised his hand and slapped himself hard across the face. “Damn it! I’m the one at fault! I created my own monster!
From a distance, behind the tint of his glasses, Micah observed the suddenly enlightened, remorseful Kai. A trace of icy mockery flickered in his gaze.
Oriana was equally surprised.
She hadn’t expected this affair to lead back to Luna as well…
Luna’s resentment toward her truly ran deep.
On the ground, Hank was hauled up by the bodyguard. Shaking, he pulled out his phone and scrolled through the logs. “I–I don’t know who contacted me… I just did the job for the money…”

Audrey was standing right there. She saw the profile picture in Hank’s chat history clearly.
There was no mistaking it. It was Lottic.
This time, any remaining hope vanished. She raised her hand and coldly pushed away the still–pleading Lottie.
“Dr. Bishop! Please, don’t give up on me! I was wrong! I really know I was wrong! Please help me, please…
“The one with the venomous heart is you!”
Audrey’s eyes were filled with profound disappointment as she looked at the sobbing Lottie as if at a stranger. “Lottie, do you have any idea that the things you posted could have destroyed someone’s life?”
