In Jindiwood Garden, Oriana was dragged into a room by Zara and forced to catch up on over two weeks‘ worth of missed gossip.
The story that had Zara clapping her hands with glee the most was the whole mess involving Grant and Luna.
Zara recounted with relish, “Luna really has too much time on her hands. Poking her nose into Zoey’s whereabouts for no reason- serves her right! Now that it’s all come out, she’s being torn apart online. I heard Grant got dragged into it too–their official site is flooded with negative comments. Even the major update to their robots went completely unnoticed. A company already struggling is now in even deeper trouble. Serves them right, hahahaha!”
Back in Sunrise Village, Oriana truly hadn’t had much time to go online, especially after the cyberbullying incident.
She was either busy making rounds with the medical team, or during her breaks, she spent nearly all her time with Micah. The two of them had been living a leisurely, quiet, and fulfilling life in the countryside.
Now, learning that Luna had played a hand in the Zoey incident, Oriana was quite surprised.
Thinking back carefully, Oriana began to piece together some clues.
At the time, Luna had tried to cozy up to Nyla. When the Zoey situation erupted, she even attempted to redirect the trouble toward Nyla, hoping to get Nyla to come after her.
However, Nyla, though quick–tempered, was principled. Because Oriana stepped in to help Zoey, Nyla’s opinion of her shifted, and she began to trust her more. Luna’s scheme had fallen flat.
Only now did Oriana remember that she’d received a message from Nyla a few days ago.
It started with a somewhat awkward apology, then an invitation to meet for a meal when Oriana returned to Jindiwood, and ended with Nyla demanding fiercely to know Luna’s whereabouts.
Nyla was fiercely protective of her own. She was looking for Luna precisely because of the Zoey incident.
“Oriana, what’s on your mind?”
Zara noticed her distraction and lowered her voice. “You’re not still worried about Micah being upset, are you?”
Oriana blinked and patted Zara’s hand gently. “No.”
Zara, usually so carefree, was unusually hung up on it this time. She scratched her head, looking helpless. “I really didn’t expect him to get this angry and just walk off like that. I just thought since the two of you had been in Sunrise Village for so long, I’d tag along for a few days of fun. That’s not too much to ask, right? Right??”
Knowing Zara well, Oriana could see she was genuinely concerned that her actions might cause tension between Oriana and Micah. She reassured her gently, “Don’t overthink it. I was thinking too–Micah and I have been together day in and day out for over two weeks in Sunrise Village. It wouldn’t hurt to have you and Kenny join us for this trip. When he gets back, I’ll talk to him properly.”
Oriana wasn’t being biased. If Micah hadn’t followed her to Sunrise Village in the first place, and Zara had come whining to her, she might not have agreed.
Just as she was mulling this over, there was a knock at the door.

It was Kenny, muttering outside, “Micah’s back. Aren’t you going to go smooth things over?”

Zara reacted faster than Oriana. She grabbed Oriana’s hand, pulled her out, opened the door, and pushed her toward the stairs.
“Hurry! If you’re going to make up, do it sooner rather than later!”
Oriana was practically shoved along by Zara. Struggling to look back, she couldn’t help teasing her, “Zara? I thought you’d tell me to stand my ground and let Micah figure it out and cool off on his own.”
After all, in the past…
Whenever there was tension between her and Grant, Zara had always encouraged her to be firm, not give Grant an inch, and make him admit his own mistakes.
Who would have thought that now, Zara was more anxious than she was!
“Different situations call for different measures.”
Zara looked guilty. “If this were just between the two of you, I’d totally support you standing your ground! But right now… if something really goes wrong between you and such a wonderful husband because of me, wouldn’t I be the villain? Oriana, just… humor him a little, okay? Get him pacified first, then we’ll talk!”
Oriana’s eyes widened in disbelief.
So, double standards were allowed after all?
Amid the banter, the three of them made their way downstairs, jostling each other along.
Coincidentally, Micah and Kieran were just entering through the main door.
The moment Zara saw Micah, she scurried away like a mouse spotting a cat.
Before leaving, she didn’t forget to yank Kenny along with her.
Kenny had wanted to stay and watch the drama, but he hadn’t accounted for Zara’s surprising strength.
He grumbled, “Hey, hey! If you want to leave, why drag me along?”
“They’re a couple making up after a tiff. What’s there for you to watch?” Zara shot him a disdainful look. “What, you want to take notes?”
“Pfft, what is there for me to learn? I can’t be bothered putting in that kind of effort,” Kenny huffed, rolling his eyes dramatically.
Zara let out a knowing “Ohhh,” then added meaningfully, “If you’re not planning to learn, then there’s even less reason to watch. A grown man like you shouldn’t be so nosy!”
Kenny was speechless.
