My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 352

*Mommy, what's that?*

Seraphina froze. She quickly shoved the bag into the corner of the sofa and hid it behind a throw pillow. "Nothing. It's for adults, so don't ask."

Little Bean gave her a suspicious look but didn't press the issue.

Even though he was an "old soul," he really had no interest in women's lingerie.

Lucian returned later than usual that evening, walking through the door past eight o'clock.

Seraphina had just coaxed Little Bean to sleep and was coming downstairs when she saw Lucian eating dinner in the dining room.

"Why are you back so late?" She walked over and sat down.

"Had some things to handle at the company," Lucian replied, taking a bite of BBQ ribs with evident appetite.

"Yeah." Seraphina nodded. "She was heading to a hotel with a man. They looked very intimate, and it definitely wasn't my dad."

Lucian's expression didn't change; he merely let out a mild "Oh."

"Because you're a good person, and you can't stand this kind of behavior. But Sera, some people just aren't worth your energy."

Looking into his eyes, Seraphina suddenly smiled.

"What is it?" Lucian asked.

"Nothing." She shook her head. "Just thinking that being married to you is pretty great."

Lucian paused, and a slow smile spread across his face. "What brought this on today?"

"Just a random thought. Take your time eating; I'm going to run a bath for you." Seraphina stood up and walked away.

Lucian watched her go, his gaze soft and affectionate.

But shortly after she left, she came rushing back out.

She was a step too late, however. Lucian had already pulled the sexy lingerie out of the fancy shopping bag in the corner of the sofa.

Seraphina's face instantly flushed crimson...
