The woman continued unprompted, "My ex is actually quite wealthy. The Sullivan family from the capital—you might have heard of them."
"But please, keep that between us."
"He's the eldest grandson and the heir. He has money, looks great, and seems incredibly gentle."
"It's just..." She paused. "He actually has a terrible temper. He got physical with me once, and I was so terrified that I finally left him."
As she spoke, she tugged at her sleeve, as if trying to hide a phantom bruise.
Yolanda paused with the pruning shears in her hand and glanced up at her.
The woman sighed, putting on a melancholic expression. "Well, it feels good just to get it off my chest. Don't let it ruin your day."
After the floral arrangement class ended, the woman left looking deliberately dejected.
Returning home, Yolanda sat on the sofa for a long time, lost in thought.
Gillian walked out of the study, carrying a stack of contracts.
Seeing her sister looking so preoccupied, her footsteps naturally slowed.
"What's wrong?"
"I met someone at the floral class today," Yolanda began, recounting everything that had just happened. "Even though she didn't name names, I could guess she was talking about Sebastian. If he really has violent tendencies..."
Gillian tossed the contracts onto the coffee table. "Did she approach you first?"
"Yes."
"And then she smoothly shifted the topic to Sebastian."
"Yeah."
Gillian leaned back against her chair, her expression unimpressed. "This trick is so incredibly played out."
"Let me have someone look into her background first."
Two days later.
"That woman went to college with Sienna. Within the past week, there is a transaction record of exactly fifty thousand dollars transferred between them."
Gillian handed her phone to Yolanda.
"Sienna."
Gillian gave a dry laugh. "Spending fifty thousand to plant someone in a floral studio to stir up drama. The plan is sloppy, and she didn't even cover her tracks or wipe the financial evidence. What an idiot."
Yolanda gripped the phone, keeping her head down in silence.
