Sebastian set his phone down on the desk.
He immediately instructed his assistant to trace the number. Zac came back shortly with the results—it belonged to Gillian.
Sebastian was stunned. Why would Gillian call him out of the blue with such a cryptic warning?
He remembered yesterday when he had invited Yolanda to dinner. Halfway through the meal, she took a phone call, claimed she had an emergency, and left before even finishing her food.
When he tried calling her later, it rang for a long time before she finally picked up. Her tone had been incredibly distant, citing that she was busy.
She had never acted like that before.
He looked up and called out, "Zac."
The door opened, and Zac stepped inside. "Mr. Sullivan."
"Look into Yolanda's recent whereabouts. See if anyone suspicious has approached her lately." Sebastian set down his pen. "Make it fast."
Zac nodded and left the office.
...
Zac's efficiency never disappointed.
In less than two hours, he had the answers.
"Mr. Sullivan, last Tuesday afternoon at the Midnight Ink Floral Studio on the west side, someone sat next to Ms. Harrison and initiated a conversation that lasted for about forty minutes."
Sebastian glanced at the surveillance screenshot on the tablet.
"Look into this woman."
Zac stepped out again.
This time, he returned even faster. "Mr. Sullivan, I have it. That woman is friends with Sienna. They've attended several social dinners together in the past."
"Sienna..."
Sebastian's expression turned lethal. He grabbed his phone and dialed Sienna's number.
It rang for a long time before it finally connected.
"What do you want?" Sienna answered coldly.
Sebastian's voice was like ice. "Last Tuesday, you sent someone to Midnight Ink..."
Sienna fell silent for a second. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Sienna." His voice dropped dangerously low. "Did you really think your pathetic little tricks would stay hidden?"
"I genuinely don't know what you..."
