My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 365

Seraphina completely ignored Melody.

Melody slowly shifted her gaze away from Seraphina's flat stomach.

She continued, "Honestly, Ms. Simmons, you should have figured it out by now."

Taking a half-step closer, she lowered her voice mockingly. "Your only purpose for being here was to give Lucian an heir."

"Now that the job is done, you should learn when to step aside."

Seraphina still didn't respond.

Seeing her unfazed, Melody raised her voice slightly. "Otherwise, standing here all alone at a romantic couples' restaurant just makes you look incredibly pathetic."

That finally got a reaction out of Seraphina.

She raised her eyes, her gaze landing calmly on Melody's face.

"Who said I came alone?"

Melody froze.

She instinctively glanced around, but there was absolutely no one else in sight.

"You really know how to joke," Melody laughed. "If Lucian isn't here, are you secretly on a date with another man?"

"The Langfords are extremely strict about their family reputation. Even if your marriage is on the rocks, you shouldn't be so blatant about hooking up with someone else in public."

Right at that moment, the restaurant's heavy glass doors were pushed open from the outside.

Lucian strode in.

He spotted Seraphina instantly and walked straight toward her.

Watching Lucian approach, the corners of Seraphina's lips curled up slightly.

Raising a hand, she waved at the space over Melody's shoulder. "My lover is here."

Melody blinked. "What?"

She reflexively turned her head.

The moment she saw Lucian, every ounce of color drained from her face.

Lucian had already reached Seraphina's side, naturally taking her hand in his. "Sorry, did you wait long?"

"Not at all." Seraphina looked up at him.

"Lucian..." Melody's lips parted.
