My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 367

Dinner concluded smoothly.

Seraphina glanced over at the piano again, but the pianist had already disappeared at some point.

Noticing the faint disappointment on her face, Lucian immediately flagged down a waiter. "The piano performance earlier was excellent. I'd like to meet the musician."

"Right away, Mr. Langford. Please step this way."

The waiter was thrilled. If this new pianist had caught the eye of someone as powerful as Lucian Langford, she was about to strike gold!

Maybe he would even get a generous tip just for leading the way.

The waiter guided them through the back corridors toward the performers' lounge.

The door was slightly ajar, but the room was completely empty.

"My apologies," the waiter said sheepishly. "If she's not here, she must have already left for the night."

"It's fine," Seraphina said.

Lucian placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Did you really want to see her?"

"I just thought she looked familiar." Seraphina turned back toward the hallway. "Forget it."

The two of them retraced their steps, descending the spiral staircase back to the main lobby.

"Wait here for a second," Lucian said, stopping in his tracks. He gently adjusted Seraphina's clothes to ensure she was warm. "I'll go get the car. The temperature dropped outside."

Seraphina nodded. "Okay."

Lucian turned and headed out through the side entrance.

Standing by herself, Seraphina's gaze wandered casually over the decorative paintings lining the walls.

Her phone buzzed. It was a text from Tiffany, asking how the date was going.

She started typing a reply, but before she could hit send, the sound of approaching footsteps caught her attention.

It was Sebastian and Yolanda. They had apparently just finished dining at the same restaurant.

Sebastian stopped abruptly, his eyes fixed on Seraphina's back.

She was wearing that delicate black slip dress. The thin straps highlighted the incredibly elegant curve of her neck and shoulders.

He had always thought Seraphina lacked style. Her wardrobe had always seemed completely stocked with dull, conservative suits.

But looking at her now, it wasn't that she didn't know how to dress—she had simply never bothered to show this side of herself to him.
