Addison
Tyler’s face turned red with rage as he placed the palms of his hands on the same ground that he had landed on, his eyes glowing as he looked right at me with a snarl.
He attempted to rise to his feet for an attack but I pushed harder the wind pinning him down.
He snarled louder with frustration, the veins on his forehead po ping.
“How dare you?” he spat, his voice mixed with the wolf he was about to let out.
“You’re the one who started this when you made your intentions to attack me clear enough,” I said, my voice cold and detached.
Right when he tried harder to rise to his feet, I began to move closer, the wind around us whipping our hair into a frenzy as he still tried to push against it. Not once did I feel myself losing him. I was in full control, holding him in place with ease.
However, the longer I went on like that, the more I felt Saga’s rage from within me. It was the last thing I wanted.
I had to put a stop to it with one other reason in mind. Doing that to Tyler made me uneasy. I wasn’t the type to harm anyone and my own strength scared me a little.
I remembered Lyra’s words to me, of how I was a special werewolf that meant to use my powers for protection, not destruction.
Even without the special abilities I had, I wouldn’t have felt any different at that moment.
Tyler was about to shift and that would’ve only been worse. I didn’t want things to go that far.
With a soft expression in my eyes, I pulled back my hands and the wind died down instantly.
Since he was already pushing hard against the force that kept him in place, he ran into a tree on the other side when it suddenly stopped.
The shift was put on hold as he rose to his feet, his chest rising and falling rapidly. I still couldn’t see his human eyes but behind all that rage, I could see the embarrassment.
It seemed that he had something to say to me, but only snarled as he faced the other side.
I equally had nothing to say to him, my act of putting an end to the force a clear message that I wasn’t looking for a fight.
I turned the other way, using the treetops as I moved through the woods.
His guards soon came to his aid, but he obviously didn’t need them as he roared in the distance.
I expected them to come after me, but it seemed that he hadn’t et given that order.
When I was far enough, I came down to the ground and leaned against a tree trunk, closing my eyes to let the memories wash over me. My heart ached when I remembered the way Tyler used to be before I found out he was the Lycan Prince, who stood by his father no matter what.
The laughter that came from his silly conversations and bubbly personality, that was the Tyler I knew and it only hurt me more when I thought about the encounter a few minutes earlier

With my parents away for an annual event, Beta Farris took over the affairs of that day, and I shadowed him to learn as much as I could.
He took me along whenever possible as I was next in line after my father.
Just as he gave me a summary of all I had learned that day, Tyler burst through the doors, his long strides characterized by
rage.
Beta Farris and I glanced at each other with concern and he gave me a nod of approval to go after my brother.
I got to his room, knocking on his door as I heard heavy breathing from inside.
“Go away!”
“What happened to you? Shouldn’t you be at the Academy of Warriors?”
He chose not to speak, his breath still heavy.
I sensed how troubled he was, making me not give up on him.
“Tyler?”
He sighed, his voice softer. “Come in.”
As soon as I walked in, I raised my eyebrows at the sight of him ripping his royal attire while tapping his foot.
“Whoa, what’s gotten into you? Can you tell me what happened?”
“It’s Addison, your Addison.” He gritted his teeth.
My lips curved into a smile at how he described her, but I turned serious the next second as he wasn’t laughing about it.
“Yeah? What about her?” I asked.
“On my way to the Academy of Warriors, I picked up her scent and followed her.”
“Why?”
“I just wanted to put her in her place.”
“And what happened?” I crouched down in front of him, eager to hear his response.
He growled, keeping his head low as he began to break down what happened.
Rising to my feet, I burst into laughter and he shot me a glare.
“It’s not funny” He scowled again.
“Sorry but it definitely is. You actually thought you stood a chance? I mean against anyone else, yes.”
“She just went on and on to disrespect our father.”
“And you thought it was wise to attack. Too bad your guards couldn’t keep up and you left them behind.”
“I didn’t need them.”
“Whatever you say.”

He sighed, frustrated. “I knew she could do some crazy shit, but not to that level. She was using both hands. Imagine what she’ll be like when she’ll be able to use just a finger to push someone.”
“Just don’t mess with her again.”
“If I’ve never sounded so sure before, I am now. I don’t want her as your mate.”
“You know what I think? You two just need to have a normal face to-face chat.”
“What?”
“Don’t tell me you’re scared of her.” I teased him…
He scoffed. “Of course not.”
“You know what? I really want to believe that you don’t like Addison anymore, but that’s not entirely true because had that been the case, you would’ve already put a stop to my plans with her by informing our parents. You haven’t yet done that.”
He sighed. “You’re right about that and the other thing is that you and I have been together around the world more than we have spent time with our parents. No one is more important to me than you.”
Playfully shaking my head, I said, “How do you go from angry to sweet?”
“You know what? I take back everything I just said.”
I chuckled, sitting beside him and throwing my arm over his shoulder. “I’m just kidding. How about I set up a meeting for you and Addison so you can talk about this?”
