No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 638

Cedric said coldly, "You're mistaken, Mrs. Parham. Noelle didn't pursue me. I'm the one pursuing her."

Noelle nearly choked. Did he really just say that?

Brittany was stunned. After a moment, she muttered, "All these Liddell women are the same. What good could come out of their family? They were raised without parents. No wonder they are rude."

Noelle's expression turned unpleasant. "Xenia was never my parents' daughter. She was merely adopted."

Brittany scoffed. "What's the difference?"

"Oh, a huge difference." Cedric's gaze darkened. "My girlfriend's parents only raised her, never Xenia. Of course, it's not the same.

"It's like how your husband has a bastard outside. But since you didn't raise him, he's not really your responsibility, right?"

Brittany's face twisted in rage at the mention of that bastard child. She had tried to keep that scandal under wraps. It would be impossible to deal with if word got out.

"Fine, it's different. It must be nice to have a man standing up for you," Brittany spat, not wanting to relent.

Cedric's voice dropped. "Then perhaps you should ask yourself why your husband doesn't protect you. Is it because you tried to get rid of his bastard? Because you arranged that accident?"

Billy Parham, who was lurking in the background, finally stepped forward angrily. "So it really was you! You scheming bitch!".

Brittany snapped back, "And so what if I did? Do you think some bastard child can become one of us?"

Billy slapped her across the face. But Brittany wasn't one to back down. She lunged at him, and the two started brawling. The scene turned even more dramatic.

In the end, the Parham couple finally stormed out.
