No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 664

Noelle looked at Cedric and continued, "But since you hid your identity from everyone, that was probably just something rich people worry about. Luckily, I'm not as wealthy as you are, so I don't have to be guarded around others."

Cedric's gaze deepened. He reached out and touched her forehead again, only relaxing after confirming her temperature was back to normal. After glancing at the lunchbox on the table, he asked, "Did your classmates come to visit?"

"Yeah. My two roommates came by and brought me dinner."

"It's cold and too greasy for you. I'll get you something fresh instead," Cedric commented rather disdainfully as he checked the food and took the lunchbox away.

Soon, he returned with a meal from L Bistro and placed it in front of Noelle. "See if there's anything you like."

Noelle tried out the congee. The light and mild dishes suited her appetite better at the moment. She glanced at Cedric and asked, "Have you eaten?"

He picked up her utensils and started eating the food she hadn't finished. Noelle was stunned. Then, she hesitated and said, "I already ate from that."

"I know." Cedric ate quickly and finished in just a few bites. As he placed his utensils aside, he said, "I'll have the TG Public Relations team stay with you tonight. Just tell them anything you need."

"No need. I can manage on my own."

"They were assigned to serve you. If you don't need them, they'll be unemployed."

Noelle was surprised. "But aren't they TG Public Relations' team?" Why would they lose their jobs?

"They were fired the day they came to the hospital and gave you trouble. The only reason they're still at TG is that they were assigned to stay by your side." Cedric's tone was calm, as if he were talking about something utterly trivial.

Noelle frowned. "I can hire them myself."

She knew that in wealthy families, private assistant teams were often arranged to take care of daily life, some including dedicated PR teams. But she and Cedric weren't married, so why should she accept a personal team he'd arranged for her? It felt a little odd.
