Summary for Chapter 105: Ruined By My Brother's Best Friend (by Silverwriter)

Read Arabella and Alvise novel Chapter 105

My eyes drifted to his lips, and my chest fluttered with anticipation. His gaze followed the movement, and as though he could read my mind, he moved an inch closer, his eyes hooded. But, just as his lips grazed mine, he turned his face.

The hope blooming inside my heart shattered, a wave of dread, embarrassment, and disappointment crashing over me. I snatched my hand from his shirt and tried to walk away, but his grip on my hip tightened, holding me firmly in place.

Alvise’s eyes hardened, darkness pooling within them. “Why did you leave?”

I trembled, my legs almost giving out beneath me. He didn’t need to specify because I already knew exactly what he meant.

He was talking about that night.

His intense gaze bored into mine, waiting expectantly for my answer,

This was my chance to clear the air… To tell him the truth. That I hadn’t meant it. That I had wanted nothing more than to stay that night. That it had almost been the best night of my life before it became the worst.

My whole body shook, held upright only by his firm grip on my waist while Alvise’s eyes flickered with impatience, silently urging me to speak. So, I did. “I…” My lips quivered. “I regretted it.”
