Sierra turned to me with a small smile playing on her lips. “He’s a business tycoon. A very successful one.”

raised a brow. “How sure are you?”

Sierra turned back to her laptop and tapped the keyboard. “The evidence is right in front of you.”

I narrowed my eyes as I read what appeared to be an article about Henry.

“And this is just one of many.” Sierra scrolled through different articles, photos, and interviews, all centered around Hehry.

A surprised breath escaped me. “He seems to be an important person.”

“Seems?” Sierra scoffed. “He is! As you can clearly see. Duh.”

I rolled my eyes and walked back to my desk before sitting down. “How did you even find all this?”

“I literally just searched his name. It was that easy,” she mused. “I still don’t know how I didn’t know him until now.” she stroked her chin thoughtfully. “His name should’ve rung a bell. I normally know everyone.”

I nodded. “Me too. But I’m not too surprised. We’re more familiar with the fashion industry.”

“Speak for yourself, girl.” Sierra rolled her eyes. “I’m not just into fashion. I know everyone in the entertainment industry!”

It was my turn to roll my eyes. “Going by what we just read, he’s into real estate and architecture. That’s nowhere near the entertainment industry… but go off.”

“Well, you’re right.” She trailed a finger along her nose. “That explains it.”

I nodded. “Yes, it does.”

“Anyways,” she hummed, her eyes lighting up, “date him.”

I choked on air. “What do you mean?” I coughed, rubbing my chest to ease the sting.

“You know exactly what I mean, Arabella.”

“I’m afraid I don’t,” I said, leaning back in my chair. “I think you’ve gone crazy.”

“What?” she whined. “He tracked you down to your workplace. I think the message is pretty clear.”

Her words reminded me of his confession in the parking lot. “He told me he liked me.”

Sierra gasped before shaking her head. “And the sky is blue! I’m not surprised.” She scratched the back of her head. “I just didn’t expect his confession to come so soon. He must be the type of man who goes straight after what he wants.”

“Sierra!” I yelled, laughing lightly. “You’re crazy.”

“Tell me more,” she said seriously.

Shaking my head, I recounted everything that had happened outside.

“Wait!” she gasped loudly. “What did you just say?”

I furrowed my brows. “That he pecked me on the cheek?”

“No! After that!”

I searched my memory. “Oh!” I nodded as I remembered. “I said Alvise told me never to speak to him again.”

Sierra shot to her feet and hurried to stand in front of my desk. “And what did you tell him?”

onfused, I blinked. “I refused…?”

“Good!” she snapped. “And I’m going to need you to stand on business!”

I rubbed my temples. “You’re losing me, Sierra. What are you driving at?”

“I’m your friend… your best friend, to be precise. And you,” she pointed a finger at me, “are mine too. And do you know one thing friends know how to do disgustingly well?”

I narrowed my eyes and shook my head. “No.”

“Hold grudges,” she said, emphasizing every single word. “You might have forgiven him for sending you out of his company…”

“Office,” I corrected. “He only sent me out of his office.”

She shrugged. “Same thing. You might have forgiven him, but I haven’t. And one thing I’m not going to do is let him control you after treating you so poorly.”

I sighed, exhausted, but still asked, “So… what exactly are you implying?”

“That you live your life for once.” A small smile spread across her lips. “Date Henry fucking Ashford.”
