Read Arabella and Alvise novel Chapter 173
“You left my office a while ago,” Alvise said, ignoring my attempt to rile him up. “Why are you still here?”
I contemplated telling him how his fiancée and sister-in-law had cornered me, but I realised how ridiculous that was. He wouldn’t take my side over theirs, so there was no point.
I stood up, ready to leave, but he stepped closer, invading my personal space. “The question.” His tone dropped low. “Answer
it.”
I huffed, avoiding his eyes. “Things came up.”
“Things like what?” he snapped, cold and stern. “Since when did you get into fights?”
My eyes finally snapped to his. “Since I had women going to my workplace to ruin my job and get me fired.”
“You’re not fired.”
I eyed him warily. “And how do you know that?” Shaking my head, I tried to sidestep him. “I don’t even know what I’m still doing here,” I mumbled to myself.
“I’m not done talking to you.”
I sighed. “But I’m done.”
“That doesn’t count.”
I opened my mouth to argue, but his eyes made me clamp it shut. He looked furious, with his eyes searching my face so intently that I resisted the urge to face-palm myself.
“Do you and your security have a face fetish?” I blurted.
T
Confusion flickered in his eyes before he raised a brow. “What are you talking about?”
“You’re looking at me the same way your security did a few minutes ago.” I grimaced. “It’s creepy.”

Alvise stepped back, shaking his head as if he had decided I was a lost cause. “Fighting in broad daylight in a company like this is not a good idea, Arabella.”
Mmood soured. He was right. I might hate that he was, but it didn’t change the fact. “I know,” I whispered. “My career is probably ruined.”
Several people had taken photos, and those were only the ones I saw after everything had subsided. There were probably more when I was still blinded by rage.
“What do you want?”
I looked up, holding Alvise’s stare. His jaw was set hard, his eyes focused entirely on me. I thought I had heard him wrong, so I asked, “What did you say?”
“Tell me what you want, Arabella,” he said, his eyes unwavering.
My heartbeat slowed, and I swallowed. “I want it gone. The pictures and videos. Everything that happened today… I don’t want it on the Internet… or anywhere.”
I believed I was pushing my luck and braced myself for him to tell me it was impossible.
But Alvise stroked his chin and turned around. “Done.”

Ruined By My Brother’s Best Friend
Wish Granted
ARABELLA’S POV
There was not a trace of the altercation on the Internet.
f
I waited… for hours, then Ininutes, and even days, but nothing was published. I had fully braced myself to get fired at work. the next day, but that also didn’t happen.
Christian never spoke to me about Tatiana and Viktoriya’s complaint again, and when I asked, he simply told me to get back to work.
“It just doesn’t make sense,” I mumbled to myself, staring at my work screen.
It had been a total of one week since the incident, and it felt strange that not a single person who had recorded us had posted anything.
“Aren’t you going home?” Sierra asked, walking into the office.
