Summary for Chapter 180: Ruined By My Brother's Best Friend (by Silverwriter)

Read Arabella and Alvise novel Chapter 180

If he wanted me to stay away, I was going to do that.

His office door was suddenly pushed open, revealing the last person I wanted to see.

“What is she doing here?” Tatiana asked, glaring at me.

I dug my nails into my palm. “And who is that question directed to?”

She walked past me and sat in the chair I’d just vacated. “Hey, baby,” she hummed, completely ignoring my question.

I closed my eyes and, without a single glance back, walked out of the office. I would rather jump off a bridge than stick around to hear what name he was going to call her.

With my head lowered and shoulders sagging, I walked into the elevator, letting out a tense breath.

“I’ve been waiting for you.”

I glanced up, shocked to see Viktoriya leaning against the elevator wall, a mischievous smirk playing on her lips.

I immediately put some distance between us. “Did you follow me here?”

“Of course not,” she said, waving a dismissive hand. “I just waited.”

Alarm shot through me. Why had she waited for me? What did she want?

The last place I wanted to be was stuck in an elevator with the same woman who threatened me every chance she got.

“What do you want from me?”

“You’re after my sister’s fiancé. Did you think we were going to let you be anywhere near him?”

I narrowed my eyes. “You’re projecting your feelings for your sister’s fiancé onto me. You think I want him because you do, but you’re too afraid to say it.”

Viktoriya went quiet for a tense second, as if I’d struck a nerve. “You know nothing about me.”

I weighed my chances of getting out of the elevator unscathed. The best way to stop her from doing whatever she had planned was to divert her attention.

I inhaled panicked breaths. “But I know you’re terrified of her.”

Viktoriya avoided eye contact. “You don’t know what you’re saying, so shut up!”
