Read Arabella and Alvise novel Chapter 192
“Open the door, or I’ll break it,” he threatened, with no trace of hesitation in his voice.
I sat up, my heart beating faster than normal. Looking at the large door, I shook my head. He couldn’t break it. It was Archie’s door anyway, and he wouldn’t…
A loud bang echoed through the room.
I jerked back, my head hitting the headboard as the door shook, the sound making me flinch.
Bang!
Another one, and then another, and before I could register what was happening, the door tumbled to the floor, a deatening crash sounding throughout the apartment and almost tearing my eardrums apart.
My eyes darted to the doorway, and right in front of it stood Alvise, is cold eyes snapped to me and took in my form on the bed before he turned around and walked away.
I swallowed, looking at my brother, who now walked into my room. “What the hell was that?”
“What?” Archie questioned, surveying my room as though he was trying to make sure I wasn’t doing anything absurd while it was locked.
My eyes widened. “He broke the door! My door.”

“He warned you, Arabella,” Archie said nonchalantly.
fd-only given me, what, five seconds before he brought the door down. And for what?
“You need to get up from the bed and come eat,” Archie instructed.
Folding my arms and leaning against the headboard, I shook my head. “I’m not hungry.”
“You are,” Archie clapped back. “You’ve been locked in here for six hours.”
I frowned. “Six hours?”
I stood up from the bed and walked over to the window. It was dark outside. Did I really sleep for that long?
As if the knowledge of the time finally cleared my head, my stomach growled.
I was suddenly hungry.
I moved out of the room, jumping over the broken door as I walked towards the kitchen.
I paused at the doorway, my heart suddenly back to beating abnormally.
Alvise leaned against the counter, his ankles crossed as he made a phone call.

For the first time ever, I could finally hear him speaking Russian clearly. I didn’t understand a word, but I was sure it was his native language because I might have looked it up just because of him.
He suddenly stilled and turned around, his blue eyes boring into mine. It felt like I couldn’t move, so I stayed rooted to the doorway until he finished his call.
“You broke my door,” I breathed, my eyes still fixed on him.
“I’ll get you another one.”
My stomach fluttered with something unrecognizable… something so dangerous, I immediately blinked it away.
“And what if I said you broke my spirit and my mind?” I dared to ask, referring to what he did to me at work.
Alvise slipped his phone into his pocket and walked past me towards the door. Before walking out, he paused and spoke, his words sending goosebumps skittering across my skin.
“Then I’ll be fucking glad to have ruined something of yours like you did mine.”
