Read Arabella and Alvise novel Chapter 213
ARABELLA’S POV

Having a man like Alvise Valerio tell you that you owed him had to be one of the most unfortunate situations one could find themselves in.
I was actively thinking about it, my mind trying to come up with several possible scenarios where I could be of help to him without hating myself.
I couldn’t come up with any.
The man was the head of the Bratva… an actual crime organisation, or perhaps something even bigger than that. I wasn’t too sure yet because I was yet to Google it. However, when I eventually did, I knew whatever I found wouldn’t be an easy pill to swallow. And that’s only if the information hadn’t been wiped off the internet.
I finally allowed myself to look away from Sierra’s sleeping form on the bed and studied the bedroom. It was very spacious, and the decor was cool and simple, exactly how I preferred it sometimes.
Alvise dropped us off here and left after helping me bring Sierra to the room. I was still not sure if we were going to be staying in the apartment with him or not.
I really hoped we weren’t.
Shaking my head, I stood from the bed and walked into the walk-in closet, trailing my hands over some of the clothes that were already placed inside. I was shocked to see that they all looked new.
When I imagined what kind of apartment Alvise bought for me, I never imagined it would be as big and expensive-looking as this one was.
“Arabella?”
I froze, standing completely still as Sierra’s weak voice filled the room, sending my heart racing.
She was awake.
I sighed in relief, but then my stomach tightened. I knew she would have questions… lots of them, and now I owed her all the answers. But the problem was that I didn’t have the answers myself, so I couldn’t give them to her.
Plastering a smile on my face, I turned around to look at her. Sierra looked like a shadow of herself, weak and tired, and all I could do was walk to the bed and sit right beside her, taking her palm in mine.
Guilt settled in my chest, and I wished I was the only one Gangster and his boss had kidnapped.
“How are you?” I whispered gently, rubbing my thumb over the back of her hand.
“Where are we?” she asked. “And what happened?”
Sierra attempted to sit up, but I shook my head and placed my hand on her thigh.
“You’re still very weak. Hold on, let me get you some food, and then we can talk, okay?”

Thankfully, Sierra was hungry, and cooking for her gave me enough time to gather my thoughts together and tell her most of what I could.
After almost two hours of talking, I reminded her that we were kidnapped, told her about the men who threatened to kill me, and then how Alvise came to my rescue. Of course, I left out information about Alvise’s identity out of fear of what he would do to her if he knew I had said anything to her.
Sierra also told me about her own experience after getting kidnapped and how she woke up in a dark. small room alone, with her hands and legs tied, before some men came to sedate her.
“I can’t believe Cassie did this to us.” I breathed, running my hands through my hair.
Sierra snorted. “I can assure you that you’re the only one who’s surprised.” She revealed. could see this coming from a mile away.”
I raised my brows. “You saw her kidnapping us?”
Sierra smacked my arm. “Of course not! I didn’t think she’d go this far, but there was just something about her attitude towards us that changed after I broke up with her brother. I felt the shift since then.”
I nodded. “And then at her birthday party, where she spoke to us rudely in the restroom. I never stopped thinking about that.”
“And the way you kept running into her frequently?” She rubbed her temples. “We should have been alarmed, especially after you saw her with Tatiana.”
Her statement led to another conversation, and we were in the middle of it when a knock sounded on the
door.
I froze, my eyes snapping to the door and then back at her.
Sierra gritted her teeth, gesturing toward the door. “My least favourite human is here.”
I chuckled awkwardly and shot to my feet, taking slow steps toward the door.
Ever since I told Sierra about my night with Alvise, how Tatiana made me run her sister over, and how Alvise handled the situation, she had despised him with her whole heart.
With that in mind, I left the room as soon as I opened the door and closed it behind me, not wanting the two of them to meet.
Sierra still had no idea Alvise was capable of murder, and I didn’t want her shooting guards at him on my behalf just to get herself into trouble.
I could feel Alvise’s eyes on me, so I looked up, my breath catching in my throat as our eyes clashed.
“Hi.” I muttered, trying to ease the awkward silence.
He looked every inch perfect and put together in his dark suit, the blue of his eyes standing out against the sharpness of his features. I could smell him from where I stood, and his scent sent tingles down my spine.
“Hi.” Alvise said coolly, and then he stroked his chin before turning around. “Follow me.”
I trailed behind him until we got to the living room, wondering why he wanted to speak to me.

Alvise leaned against the couch and crossed his ankles. “On our way here, when I asked you how you got kidnapped, you said it was a friend?”
I nodded cautiously, not sure what he was driving at. “Yes… why?”
“You can recognise her if you see her?”
“Yeah.” I rasped. “Sure I can.”
Alvise pulled his phone from his pocket. “Come see this,” he said, tapping on the screen.
I hesitantly walked over to stand beside him and regretted it almost immediately. The aura around me shifted from the close contact, and a shiver trailed down my spine.
Our hands touched as he handed his phone to me, and I had to blink away the haze and focus on the
screen.
It looked like a still image from a CCTV camera.
“Is that her?” Alvise asked.
“It is.” I hummed, drawing my brows together and wondering why Cassie was caught on CCTV at what looked like a prison.
I tipped my head up to look at Alvise. “What happened?”
He held my gaze and muttered, “She helped Francesca escape from prison.”
