Read Arabella and Alvise novel Chapter 219
ARABELLA’S POV
Two days.
50 vesh
It had been over two more days since Alvise had come into the house, and for the first time, I couldn’t bring myself to say that I missed him, not even a little bit…..
It wasn’t because I didn’t think about him, but because whenever I did, I forced my mind away from it The revelation that he was Henry’s murderer had terrified me, and things just couldn’t be the same after
that.
And then finding out he’d been doing so much more behind the scenes and wouldn’t even tell me was even more horrifying. I felt like my life had changed so much, and now I had the head of the Bratva telling me that he’d killed for me.
How could I ever be the same afterward?
“Sierra!” I yelled from the bedroom. “How long is it going to take you to just shower?”
“I’m almost done!” She yelled back. “And let it be known that I don’t think we should be going out in the first place.”
I rolled my eyes. “Tell me, are you scared of him?”
There was a long pause before her reply came. “I won’t lie. He scares me sometimes.”
I scoffed and shook my head, running my hands through my hair after just curling it.
I’d woken her up this morning and insisted on going to see a movie, and she’d been whining about it ever
since.
Sierra felt like I should talk to Alvise first, but I just didn’t see the need. We’d been locked inside the apartment doing nothing for days, and now we were only going to the cinema for some time.
And I’d made sure we were going during the day so it would be safer.
“You look good,” Sierra muttered as she walked into the bedroom, drying herself with a towel.
I blushed and fanned my face. “Thank you.”
“You’re dramatic,” she hissed before rushing to get ready.
After almost an hour, we were finally fully dressed and walking out of the living room while arguing about which movie we wanted to see.
“Are you going somewhere, madam?” one of the men standing outside the door asked in surprise.
I nodded. “Yes, I’m just going to see a movie.”
He shared a look with the other guard and cleared his throat. “Have you spoken to Boss about it?”

How was I supposed to tell them that their boss and I were almost not on speaking terms? Ever since he’d left me with those parting words that sent a shiver all over my spine, it had been crickets.
“No, I haven’t,” I said truthfully, walking to the elevator with Sierra. “But I’m sure he wouldn’t really have a problem with it since we’re not going when it’s late.”
Alarmed, the guard followed us to the elevator. “I’m sorry, I can’t let you leave, madam. I don’t know what he would do when he finds out we let you…”
“You can just say I insisted,” I said, pushing the button for the ground floor. “So it’s my fault, not yours.
He looked horrified as the doors closed in his face, leaving him outside of it.
“I really don’t think we should go,” Sierra mumbled, her eyes finding mine.
I sighed. “If Alvise gets pissed, I’ll just say it was my idea. You don’t have to worry.”
She nodded. “I know, I know, but that’s not what’s bothering me,” she said, her voice barely audible.
I furrowed my brows. “Then what is it?”
Sierra bit her bottom lip. “I don’t know, but the thought of Francesca and Cassie still being out there, walking around scot-free, leaves me with goosebumps.”
I pondered on what she said for the rest of the ride down to the first floor and even when we got into the waiting cab I’d ordered.
I almost wanted to cancel at the last minute because she was right. If the two of them were still out there, it was quite dangerous, but I convinced myself they wouldn’t be stupid enough to try anything with us since they knew they were wanted.
I’d asked one of the guards a day before how it was going with finding Francesca, and he told me they were actively investigating and trying to find her.
That soothed my straying thoughts, and I spent the whole ride to the cinema assuring Sierra that we were going to be safe.
We settled for watching a new Christmas movie that had just come out even though it wasn’t yet Christmas because we wanted a movie that would lighten the mood.
After that, we enjoyed it a little too much and stayed back for two other movies. It was almost sunset when we finally decided to leave the cinema.
“That was fun!” Sierra hummed as we walked out of the building. “Thanks so much for making me come no matter what.”
“You’re welcome.” I chuckled, looking around for our cab. “Why isn’t he here yet?”
“Chill. You only called him like thirty minutes ago, right?”
“Hmm. That should be enough time, though,” I said absentmindedly as my eyes caught sight of someone walking toward us some feet away.
It was a man, extremely tall and wearing black from head to toe. What caught my eyes were the leather

gloves, jacket, and even pants. It had been a little warm today, and there was no reason to be draped in black leather like that.
“Sierra?” I whispered, keeping my eye on him while grabbing her hand and tugging her close. “We need to leave.”
“But the dude is not here…”
“Let’s just start walking till he gets here,” I suggested, pulling her away hastily toward the sidewalk.
“Okay. You’re scaring me,” she said, her voice a little strained. “What’s going on?”
I turned back to see the same man trailing behind us, his eyes clashing with mine.
“I think we’re being followed,” I choked, fear coursing through me. “Are you with your phone? Bring it out subtly.”
Panicking, Sierra pulled her phone from her bag. “Who should I call?”
My breath caught in my throat, my hands shaking as I took the phone from her. The safest option was Alvise, but I didn’t know his number.
My fingers shook against the screen, and I just settled for calling the police, but before I could even get the call through, I heard a gunshot shatter through the air.
A scream tore from Sierra, and she grabbed my hand, breaking into a sob. My heart seemed to stop as I stopped walking, wondering why there was something dripping down my arm.
I glanced at it and saw blood, lots of blood, instantly reminding me of when Theo tried to kill me at the
company.
The only difference was that this time, the blood was actually mine.
