Read Arabella and Alvise novel Chapter 304
ARABELLA’S POV
I gasped, my eyes widening as I glanced at Tatiana, only to see her glaring down at her sister.
She pushed her.
“Are you out of your mind?”
Alvise’s voice, calm but dangerously low, sent goosebumps across my skin as it filled the room.
Tatiana stuttered, looking back at him like she’d snapped out of her rage-filled trance and finally
remembered that he was in the room.
“Pakhan… I…”
“Shut the fuck up,” he snapped harshly, rising to his feet. “Do you think you’re in your house, or that you have any right to act like a fool in front of me?”
“L…”
“I said…” He stalked towards her, his hands folded behind his back. “Shut your mouth.”
I watched with raised brows as Tatiana clamped her mouth shut and dropped her gaze to the floor.
“I don’t care what you do outside of these walls,” he gritted out, “but as long as you’re in my house, never try this again. Never, and definitely not in front of me.”
She nodded, rushing to help Viktoriya up like the loving sister she was not.
I might not have seen the brutality Tatiana had used to push her sister, but the distance from the chair to the ground wasn’t so great that she would be bruised or need to cry.
So, colour me surprised when I spotted the fake tears on Viktoriya’s face.
The drama.
“Get out of my face,” Alvise instructed coldly. “Both of you.”
Covering her mouth with her hand, Tatiana ran off, heading for the stairs, while Viktoriya grabbed her crutches and wordlessly walked to the door.
The anger emanating from Alvise was so strong that I cleared my throat and rose to my feet, ready to walk away so I could escape whatever wrath was left.
“Stay back.”
It was an order.
The air dried in my lungs, and my eyes almost bulged out of their sockets.
Stay? Why would he want me to stay back?
Definitely not.
Didn’t dare glance at him as I muttered, “I’m feeling sleepy.” Then I pushed my chair back and started walking away.
I didn’t get far.
He stalked towards me, grabbed my wrist, and twirled me around with so much force that I had to hold onto the table to catch my breath.
“What is wrong with you?” I yelped, taking a step back as he stepped into my personal space.
“What did I tell you?” Alvise questioned, his eyes a darker shade of blue as he narrowed them.
I refused to respond and looked away, folding my arms.
“When I speak to you, make sure to respond,” he warned. “I’m certain we’ve been over this.”
“You’re right,” I said, faking a smile as I turned back to look at him. “We have.”
“Good,” he said calmly, his cool breath hitting my face. “Make sure to remember that.”
Gritting my teeth, I turned to walk away, but he stepped in front of me again.
“I’m going to ask you once, and not again. What’s the attitude for?”
“I’m not interested in this conversation.”
