Read Arabella and Alvise novel Chapter 68
She’d come to visit me a couple of times after I told her what had happened, and Archie had conveniently used those visits as an opportunity to bombard her with instructions.
My diet hadn’t even had anything to do with the accident in the first place. “Fine!” I said, rising to my feet. “I’m going to get myself a ‘healthy’ meal.”
Of course, I had absolutely no intention of doing that.
Sierra nodded. “Okay, let me just finish up….”
I shook my head. “I’m really hungry,” I said, grabbing my purse and heading toward the door. “I can’t wait any longer. I’l probably just go home after eating.”

What was he doing here at this time? Curious, and suddenly nervous, I walked over to them.
Christian stopped talking the moment he noticed me. “Miss Whitmore?”
Alvise’s back was still turned to me.
He didn’t move. I swallowed. “Mr. Horald.”
Christian glanced at Alvise before looking back at me, almost hesitantly. “You’re still around?”
I nodded. “I just finished work. I’m about to head home now.”
Christian nodded. “Okay, that’s good. Should I drop you…” He stopped abruptly, glancing at Alvise before clearing his throat. “Have a good night. I’ll be going home now.”
Without another word, he turned and headed toward his car.
That was strange. Very strange.
I made a mental note to question it later before walking until I stood directly in front of Alvise, my eyes meeting his.
