Just as Stella was about to turn in for the night, she heard a series of knocks on the door.

Layla got up to answer the door. Lily was standing beyond it.

“Mr. Somerton is looking for her,” she said before turning around and leaving.

Layla turned her head to look at Stella. She walked over to her and helped Stella off the bed before draping a jacket over her shoulders.

Tristan was in the study.

Stella took the elevator upstairs. When she knocked on the study’s door, she noticed that Tristan

was on the phone. It seemed that he was talking about work.

She supported her waist as she slowly made her way inside.

Tristan spoke a few more sentences to the other person on the line before hanging up.

When Stell

stood before him, he asked, “What’s your relationship with Hayden?”

Stella was stunned by his question, not understanding why he was suddenly questioning her

about this.

“He’s my former graduate advisor,” she answered.

“You’re acquainted with Mr. Fulton?” Tristan asked.

She replied, “Mr. Fulton was Professor Jenkin’s teacher. I became acquainted with him a long time ago.”

“Mr. Fulton has been dropping by the university a lot recently,” Tristan continued.

Stella stared at him, still not understanding why she was having this conversation with him. She couldn’t figure out what he was thinking since his face didn’t betray any of his emotions.

She couldn’t help but feel a little uncertain when she said, “Mr. Fulton has been coming by the university to ask me to read the newspaper to him.”

Tristan’s eyes darkened as he looked at her. He averted his gaze and didn’t say anything else. “You

can go now.”

Stella hummed in response.

“You should rest early too,” she said before turning around and leaving while supporting her waist.

When she returned to her room, Layla asked worriedly, “What did he want with you?”

“He didn’t say much. He was just asking me about things that were related to the university,” Stella replied.

“Why would he suddenly ask you about your work out of the blue?” Layla asked, confused.

Although she had only been living in the villa for a few days, she had personally experienced how indifferently Tristan treated Stella. The two of them were truly like a pair of complete strangers to each other.

Stella shook her head lightly. She didn’t spend too much time thinking about it.

After Stella completed all of her work for that week, she realized that the current state of her body made it too inconvenient for her to continue working.

Annabeth called her at around 2:00 pm on Saturday. Since they had made plans to meet each other, Layla didn’t tag along this time.

Daniel sent Stella directly to the music hall.

Annabeth had already arrived earlier and was waiting for her. She stared at Stella when they met up and exclaimed, “Your stomach’s even bigger now! I guess it’s almost time for you to give birth,

huh?”

“There’s only a month left before my delivery date,” Stella said.

Annabeth stepped forward and locked their arms together. She placed her hand on Stella’s stomach and stroked it lightly, saying, “Alright then. It’s time for this little rascal to build some character today!”

Stella simply laughed in response.

They entered the music hall together. The seats were large and spacious, so Stella could sit comfortably without feeling it was too tight.

“The singers that are performing today are all nationally-recognized. There’s a soprano that I’m a big fan of in their team, Alex Hill,” Annabeth said excitedly.
