Chapter 64

The fireworks show and drone performance were scheduled to start at 7:30 pm. The riverside square was already packed with people.

Naturally, Stella and her group didn’t squeeze into the crowd, especially when Stella was so heavily pregnant. Instead, they went to Central Tower since the top floor would give them a perfect view of the show and performance.

They took the elevator to the top floor, which also doubled as a high-class restaurant. They had reserved a table beforehand. Only a limited number of people were allowed inside, so it was very quiet considering how few people were around.

The show hadn’t started yet, but the dazzling night view of the city was already a visual feast.

Stella and Annabeth snapped a few selfies together. They also snapped several pictures of the men since none of them liked taking photos. Of course, Justin was the only exception.

“Alright. Look over here!” Justin exclaimed. “Give me a peace sign!”

Everyone turned toward Justin. Stelle and Annabeth even made a heart together.

Just then, they saw a few familiar figures. When they looked up, they saw Tristan, Scott, Max, Audrey, and Daisy walking in.

Audrey was holding Tristan’s hand as they led the group. With both of them being so good-

looking, they looked like the perfect couple.

The atmosphere immediately turned icy when the two groups saw each other.

Stella and Tristan made brief eye contact. This was the first time they had seen each other since she was admitted to the hospital after getting too angry.

Tristan looked indifferent.

They both looked away almost instantly, pretending not to know the other.

Annabeth rolled her eyes. “Why do we keep running into such trashy people no matter where we go?” she muttered, unable to help herself.

Fortunately, she spoke in a low voice. On top of that, Tristan’s table wasn’t close to theirs.

“Maybe you need to visit a church and ask for some blessings to keep the evil spirits away,” Justin said, smirking.

“Good idea,” Annabeth replied.

Although Stella had managed to calm her turbulent emotions recently, she had trouble keeping her composure after seeing Tristan again. She forced herself to calm down, not wanting to get in the way of everyone else’s fun.

She did her best to hide it, but her friends still managed to pick up on her strange behavior.

Annabeth suggested that they move downstairs to watch the show instead. After all, it wouldn’t make much of a difference.

No one objected.

Stella felt a pang of guilt. She knew they were doing it for her. Even so, she truly didn’t want to be there for even a second longer.

The group got to their feet and left the restaurant.

Annabeth supported Stella as they walked at the front of the group. The men trailed after them with Theodore bringing up the rear. He couldn’t help himself and glanced in Tristan’s direction, looking upset.

Tristan was also looking at him.

Theodore averted his gaze before turning around and leaving.

They took the elevator back downstairs.

Just then, the fireworks show started.

They had a good view of the sky even under the tower, so they stayed in place to watch the fireworks show and drone performance.

The dejected feelings that had been churning within Stella gradually faded away as she watched
