Tristan stepped forward and gave Theodore’s shoulder a light pat. “You’ll definitely be a better husband than me when you get married and have a family in the future.”
He pulled his hand back and walked toward the study, leaving Theodore rooted in place, staring at
him.
Stella only saw Tristan when lunch was served.
Everyone gathered around the table to have lunch together.
Eloise told Tristan to bring Stella to the hospital for a full-body check-up the next morning. Since there weren’t many days left till her expected delivery date, they had to make all the necessary preparations.
Surprisingly, Tristan didn’t refuse. He simply said, “Got it.”
Stella was shocked by his reaction. In fact, she wished that he would reject Eloise’s request. She still didn’t know how to face Tristan and didn’t want to be alone with him. However, she also knew that she didn’t have the authority to oppose Eloise.
She stayed at the Somerton residence the entire day. Theodore stuck by her side, playing games with her and taking walks around the garden.
There was a massive field in the backyard.
The weather in the afternoon was pleasant, and the winter sun felt nice and warm on their skin.
Theodore grabbed a soccer ball so he could kick it around with Stella.
Stella rolled her eyes at him, asking, “Are you out of your mind?”
Theodore kicked the ball over to her feet. “Kick it back to me,” he said, grinning.
Stella couldn’t see the ball at her feet even when she lowered her head.
Theodore couldn’t help himself and burst into laughter when he looked at her.
Stella glared at him, wanting nothing more than to kick the ball into his face. However, she could only nudge the ball toward him.
Meanwhile, Tristan stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window in the bedroom on the third floor. The window had a perfect view of the field, allowing him to watch Theodore and Stella as they passed the ball between each other.
It wasn’t easy for Stella to move around with her heavy body. She missed the ball several times when she tried to kick it, which caused Theodore to laugh at her mercilessly.
Frustrated to no end, Stella gave up and turned to leave.

After dinner, Stella got into Tristan’s car.
Earlier, Eloise had reminded Stella to stay put in the villa while waiting for her expected delivery
date. She would arrange for professional doctors and nurses to drop by the villa, so they could
monitor her condition at any time.
Stella called Layla, asking her to stay with her. She felt a little regretful for disrupting Layla’s alone time with Gary when they only had their wedding not too long ago. They weren’t able to
