Stella snapped out of her daze.

Annabeth’s words confirmed Stella’s suspicions; Emma was indeed Audrey’s mother. The air of nobility and elegance around her was unparalleled.

Stella’s gaze fell on Tristan, who was standing behind Audrey and Emma. So, he had been in such a hurry to leave that morning because he needed to accompany his future mother-in-law.

Scott stepped aside. He watched Stella slowly walk out of the store while supporting her waist.

Scott didn’t say anything else as he and Tristan made their way toward the VIP room.

Annabeth sighed after they exited the store. “Justicia isn’t even that small. I guess I really do have to visit the church and ask them to cleanse me of my terrible luck.”

“That’s not a bad idea. You can even pray for good luck for the upcoming year,” Stella said with a laugh.

“I’ll request a half-day off from Mr. Jenkins later. I have to pray for good luck for you too.”

“Well then, thank you very much, Anna.”

The two of them chatted and laughed with each other, knowing not to bring up anything or anyone that would sour the mood.

Stella bid farewell to Annabeth after they had dinner at the shopping mall. She then returned to the villa with Layla.

Layla prepared some warm water for Stella to soak her feet. When she was massaging her feet, she asked, “Did Tristan tell you when he’s going to divorce you?”

Tristan had never given her an exact time, probably because he still had to inform Eloise and the others. However, since he was already openly accompanying his future mother-in-law, she assumed that he wouldn’t drag it on any longer.

Stella stroked her stomach as a bitter feeling spread through her chest. She really wanted to take her baby with her, but she didn’t have the power to do so at that moment.
