I spared Evie a glance and her eyes quickly scurried away from me. My jaw muscles hurt as I grit through my teeth. “Not a problem at all.”
“Great,” the council man says way too eagerly and claps his hand. “Let’s head out now. Our leader has zero patience.”
Gavin nods but I don’t move. I was angry and I wanted nothing more than to go to Evie.
“Evie,” Alpha Gavin utters and grabs her attention. “I’ll be fine. There’s no need to worry about me. Let the other know I will be back soon.”
Worry? She worried about him?
My heart hurts. Would she worry about me too?
One flicker of my gaze over to her and I knew the answer. She wouldn’t.
I meant nothing to her anymore.
With my heart hurting, I finally started to move because I couldn’t bear to stay in the room with them and see how much she cared about Gavin. How she worried about him, not me.

Evie’s pov
The second Ryan turned his back…something in my chest twisted. It was my heart. It hurt, painfully at that too.
I hated it, the feeling. I hated that even after everything…my body still reacted to him. Still noticed him. Still-
No. Stop Evie. You promised you wouldn’t care. Not anymore.
I clenched my jaw, forcing the feeling down as I watched him walk away beside Gavin and the council members.
Don’t worry about him. Don’t care.
‘You still love him,’ Serena points out. ‘It’s okay to still care.’
‘No,’ I hissed at her. She was always messing with my head. Sometimes I wish I could shut her out. ‘Stop. Get out of my head.’
She remains quiet after that and I’m thankful.
“Alpha Gavin has gone to the council court,” I mind link Lisa. ” You will be by my side to help train the wolves tomorrow at dawn.”
“Council court?” Lisa sounds worried. “Why-
“Someone ratted out the fight he had with Alpha Ryan earlier. The council called them both in,” I utter.
“Someone ratted them out? Who could it be? Who would rat their alpha out? Lisa gasped, clearly stunned.
“I don’t know,” I said truthfully. “But I’m going to find out.”
Hannah’s pov
“Oh fuck Hannah,” Brett moans as I ride his cock. His grip on my hips was hard and unmoving. His cock throb
inside me.
“You like that?” I moaned as I rocked my hip forward and back, making him feel my walls around him. He groaned, pumping up into me until his thrust becomes sloppy and his cock shoots the warmth of his cum inside
I throw my head back, riding him until I too drew to the blissful edge, moaning loudly as I came around him.
My chest rises and falls as I try to catch my breath. I looked down at Brett and grinned. “There’s your payment,” I sighed as I got off his cock.
He smirked, face flushed as he tries to catch his breath. “I’m going to miss this,” he sighed as he reaches up and shifts some strands of my hair behind my ear.
I slapped his chest playfully and lean down to kiss him. “Down boy, we don’t have time for this pity party,” I giggled. “Now give me the keys.”
He let out a sad sigh and stretched out his hand to the night table. There on the surface are the keys for Kimberly and Margaret cells.
I could’ve easily taken it from him while I was riding his cock but that wouldn’t have been fun and Brett had proved that he would keep the end of the bargain.

I sleep with him and he helps me get Kimberly and Margaret out.
He picks up the keys and passes them over to me. I grinned happily as I took them from his grasp. “Thank you, Brett,” I giggled.
“The alphas already left, you only have tonight, not even five hours to get them out of there. I’m not sure if they’ll keep Ryan or not, so it would be best to get away as soon as you can.” Brett warned as he sat up on the bed.
I move off the bed, bending low to pick up my discarded panties and fling them towards him. It lands on his chest.
“Here,” I grinned. “Save it as a souvenir.” I winked.
He smirked, gripping the light blue lacy thong. “Are you sure you have to go with them?”
I don’t reply to him right away and move around the room to pick up my discarded clothes. I put them back on and then face him. “Yes. By the time they get back Alpha Ryan would piece everything together. It would be risky staying here.”
Brett looks sad but gives a nod anyway.” Okay.”
I’d say he was stupid to stay back too seeing as Ryan was no damn fool and would realize Brett was the one who helped us…..but then again Brett wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed.
I strut over to him and bend over to give him a kiss. “Thanks, Brett. I owe you one,” I said his lips.
The poor guy didn’t know what we had planned after we leave here too and if by chance Ryan didn’t piece everything together, he’d also be caught in the crossfire.
“One last round before you leave?” He asked hopeful.
I giggle. “Can’t, Brett. We need to leave as quickly as possible, remember?”
He pouts. “I’ll be quick.”
I straightened, grinning from ear to ear as I smacked his chest. “Not quick enough.”
I turned around with the keys dangling in my fingers and made my way downstairs and out of the house before rushing to the dungeon.
Brett had made sure to knock out the warriors by dropping something in the wine he brought over for them. So l have exactly an hour left to get Kimberly and Margaret out before they wake up.
The keys clank softly in my hand as I reach the dungeon doors. Brett had done his job well. Both guards were slumped over and unconscious. I kicked them lightly just as a precaution.
Once I got no movement from the two, I grinned.
I moved quickly now because time wasn’t on my side. Ryan was many things but stupid was not one of them. The second he got a thread and starts to pull and tug, he’d unravel everything…including me.
The cells came into view and I ran over to Kimberly’s. She was very much awake, both her and her mother Margaret.
“Finally,” Kimberly voice cuts through the air. Her tone had a bit of an irritated edge to it but I ignored it. “Took you long enough.”
I grinned. “Sorry, Brett lasted longer than I thought he would.”
