106. Escape

FREYA POV

Colt? I thought to myself. I can smell him, he must be close.

Where am I? Oh, that’s right. A hooded person came up behind me and spoke to me. I’m not sure what came over me, but I wanted to do everything to be next to this person.

I’m not even sure how we got here, I just followed this hooded figure and did everything she said. It was like there was nothing else in the world but me and her. She told me to sit until she got back.

I looked around, it almost looked like a house that we were in. I went to the door of the place I was in, it wouldn’t budge.

I can smell Colt, he’s here somewhere. I looked around this room, I think I can safely say I’m in a house of some sort. There’s no windows though sol have no clue what time of day it is.

I don’t smell my kids so I can at least calm myself a little knowing they’re not also here.

I can’t get out of this room, so I sat and begin thinking about what happened when I was tranced.

She called me Freya. I don’t think I told her my name. She calmed me, but all the speaking was her.

How did she know my name?

I tried linking Colt. “Colt are you here?”

After a minute I thought maybe I was wrong and he isn’t here. Then, he responded.

“Are you okay?” He asked.

“Yes. I’m in a house I think.” I said.

“Me too. Stay where you are, I will find you.” He said

So I did what he said, but I looked all around the room in the mean time. There’s papers all over, there’s a couple of books, and lots of clothes.

I read for a while and then I heard footsteps. I sat on the bed right where I was told to sit and

waited for her to come in.

Then in walked Colt, behind him was the woman.

“Oh, she’s awake too. Interesting.” She said.

I stood and began walking over to her, “Who the hell do you think you are? You can’t just make people do whatever you want!” I yelled at her.

“I can, and I do.” She said very calmly. “Enough so that your man here thought you let me have you.” She grinned. Beautiful as she is I can’t stand the sight of her. She’s repulsive.

I looked over at Colt, “I knew you wouldn’t let her touch you.” He said reassuringly.

He looked to her, “So, what do you want?” He asked her.

I found a mirror earlier that I broke. I hid a large shard of it under the pillow of the bed I was sitting on. As he spoke to her I slowly made my way back to the bed so I could be near it.

“I’ve brought you here to discuss a truce.” She said shot a look to Colt, that’s what Eunice said he

saw.

“Why would I entertain a truce with you?” He asked, clearly disgusted by the idea.

“Well, you and her will die, but the rest of your pack might live.” She said.

Then I remembered Eunice saying something before I went to find Colt. They need to sacrifice the direct descendants of the original pack leaders.

“You want to break the sun curse? Make it so you can walk in the sunlight.” I asked.

She looked over to me. “Smart and beautiful.” She said.

I looked to Colt as I sat down on the bed next to the pillow, “When I left to look for you earlier I bumped into Eunice. He said they need to sacrifice descendants of the original pack leaders, along with some other things.” I looked to her and she was eyeing Colt. I slid the shard out from under

the pillow for a second to show him while she wasn’t looking at me then I quickly hid it back under.

“If they’re here then they probably have everything else.” I added quickly to try and not seem

suspicious.

“Well, almost.” she said as she looked at me. “I also need you to be willing.” I could tell she was

trying to use seduction on me by the way she was looking at me and walking, twirling her hair with her finger.

It wasn’t working though, I’m not sure why. However, I wasn’t about to let her know that. I had to

play along.

I smiled at her, “Willing? I can be willing.” I said.

I think Colt caught on. “Stop seducing my wife you demon b***h.” He said, sounding irritated.

She bent down and kissed me. My first instinct was to throw her off me, but I fought against. Instead I kissed her back and brought her down to the bed and crawled on top of her.

She smiled and looked over at Colt who was beginning to step towards us. I quickly took the mirror shard out and with all my strength put it to her neck and pressed down.

You could tell by the look on her face that I caught her off guard. Suddenly, Colt was lifting me up.

“We need to go, now.” He said. He grabbed a key from her jeans pocket and lead me out the door to a few rooms down. Then he rushed me through a small trap door looking thing which lead to a

cave.

We ran through the cave as fast as we could while shifted. Max and Stella wanted out of there just

as much as we did.

When we got close to the cave opening we could see that it was almost light out.

We were uncomfortably close to our pack territory. We were greeted by pretty much everyone.

“Alpha, we were just gearing to come after you.” Levi said.

“Stay geared, Freya killed that woman that I think is leading them. I assume they’ll be coming our

way.” He warned.

“It’s day, we should be okay for now.” Ash said.

“Freya was taken during the day though.” Colt said as he looked at me.

“She was dressed in a black robe thing, blocking the sun from her. I would say to just stay

prepared. Maybe we should rest up and just be prepared to jump up and fight.” I said.

“What do we do if they put us in a trance again?” Damon asked.

I looked at Colt and said, “I was helpless against her trance until I could sense Colt near by. Maybe

it’s our mate bond.”

“The goddess did say we’d be better together.” Colt said smiling.
